@@lenurban Tua's was great. Morrison may have had just a tad more velocity & timing. Both had elite power. Tua was a better fighter overall, with his toughness, stamina, and chin. If I were a manager, I'd put my guy in with Morrison rather than Tua.

Back in the day when he first started out I saw every one of his fights I remember seeing his first fight on Tuesday night fights on the USA Network. What a shame he got caught up in that lifestyle crazy lifestyle that is. It cost him his career and life rest in peace Tommy
You can tell how much influence Iron Mike had on Tommy. Tommy had the same mannerisms as Mike during the pre fight intros, walking back and forth, doing the neck twitch like Mike would do, wearing a torn towel like Mike, i noticed he even throws combos like Mike in his fights, the right hook to the body followed by the right uppercut, his leaping gazelle left hook, if only Tommy wouldve used the peekaboo style like Mike did to create more counterpunch opportunities and to protect that chin better. Tommy always reminded me of a white Mike Tyson, and i think he looked up to Mike. He even used the Cus D'amato number system for his punches and had Mikes original manager Bill Cayton lol. All he needed was Kevin Rooney to train him.

Tommy was great boxer but hi was not better than Mike so don’t tell as so foolish stories!!!
Kevin Rooney was sent down by Bill Cayton to train Tommy. His discipline oriented approach didn’t fly with Tommy and he was sent packing. So Tommy had a chance for a world class trainer.

Pleasure to watch. Very few guys have that elite power & velocity. If Morrison would've had a better chin, he'd have been champ longer.
I have all of Tommy's fights and i think this is best. I love his balance and selection of shots. He didn't waste many punches and was very zoned in for this one.

Tucker went down so fast from that left hand on the last knock down. At first, I couldn’t even see how hard he actually hit him.
Tommy had so much talent and such a bright career it’s too bad how his life ended up spiraling out of control
After getting destroyed by Mercer I thought that he would fade away but he came in with a vengeance to take it out on Tucker with that left bomb hook that popped his Jack in the box wide open
He got bombed out so badly Larry Hazzard just reached in and took his mouth piece out while he was seeing stars on the canvas
That left hook Tommy Morrison had was absolutely lethal!

Well, Tucker called it. He said during the prefight interview that Tommy would continuously duck and throw the left hook, and that's exactly what happened over and over. The only thing is, Tucker missed the part where Tommy was supposed to "run into something" every time he ducked.

I cant believe tucker didnt get knocked out by that crushing left in the first round, ropes helped him out a little but that was flush Nice !!
I do not know what happened to Tucker after this, but I hope that he had some serious considerations about his future.
Morrison doesn't have much lateral movement , basically straight ahead , leaves him open for counter puncher .
Hopefully, Art Tucker has another line of work.

Had Tommy stayed focused and resisted the drugs and party lifestyle he could have been an all time great.

Morrison was overrated. I mean who did he actually beat other than an old Foreman? He beat ex-champions and fellow contenders. Got beat by journeyman Michael Bennt and got beat whenever he stepped up
He beat Razor Ruddock and Carl Williams. Not overrated, no one had him rated ahead of Bowe, Lewis, or Moorer of the up and coming 90s heavyweights. He was a good heavyweight who could beat most with his power
If he didnt get hit he was unstoppable but once he got hit he always went down
He fought the same fighters Tyson fought, knocking them out quicker too! Tyson got beat by Buster Douglas, so your point is mute!
@@jaya.0069 the people he beat who Tyson also beat were, Carl Williams (Tyson knocked him out in the first round while Tommy took over 6 rounds to the same).
Pinklon Thomas (who was washed and well past his prime when Tommy beat him).
Razor Ruddock (wasn't prime Tyson who fought Razor).
Tillis? Look at his record when he fought Tyson, compared to when he fought Tommy
Yes Tyson was knocked out by Buster Douglas but Buster had already beaten Greg Page, Oliver McCall and gave Tony Tucker a competitive fight. So he wasn't a journeyman

He only beat one unbeaten fighter in his whole career (some journeymen)
Tommy and for second David Tua have the best left hook in boxing history till now.
