wow this is very cool that there's a Trinidad version of gulab jamun! That's one of my favourites and these look so awesome! Totally enjoyed this recipe, must be super good!
Lol Anadi the Trini has their version as well as the Guyanese it all similar in preparing. T hat's the way the older generations, my grandmother made it back in the day. They used whatever ingredients and knowledge they had back then! They did not let the Gulab Jamun sit in the liquid syrup. They let the syrup cook some more until it started to get crystalized, then pour it over the Jamun and mix it up Thankyou so much for watching ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello thanks for watching I used carnation evaporated milk to knead the dough. You add it slowly to the flour mix as you need squeezing it well as you form the dough. You want it a little soft but firm! Hope this helps.God bless ❤🙏🏻
Because honey would not crystalized and these are old traditional dishes from my culture so I did not want to mess with it.😊 I did use organic cane sugar and cut back on the amount the recipe called for though and they were for a client who wanted it make with the sugar❤🙏
@@NansGlobalKitchen aaah, I see. That's a Fair point. Try monkfruit, it acts and tastes just like sugar but has no calories and is a natural sweetener. 😊
Thankyou so much for watching my friend , stay tuned I do not make a lot of sweet sugary goodies. But I will make some sugar cakes especially for you! Thanks again. Love and God bless ❤️ 🙏🏻
