  • This one is a ripper, we hit up 14 Mile beach camp and get the boat up, we find some blow holes that entertain the kids and even get the car up and down the sand dunes.
    we manage a feed of fish and show you what the camp looks like and what our choice of camps would be if we would be lucky enough to go back again.
    this is the first ep of a mini series of the Ningaloo coast camping we are embarking on over the next 4-5 weeks.
    If you liked the video, please like and subscribe and turn those notifications on, check out the rest of the videos that we have made and let us know what you like about them and what you don’t like and please make sure you follow our journey on all our Social other media plat forms.

    We are a family of 5 travelling Australia indefinitely in our new Lotus Caravan and our 2021 F350 from Harrison F-Trucks. We will take you to many destinations and let you know what works for us and what doesn’t, so you don’t make the same mistakes.
    We are from Perth Western Australia and want to see as many destinations as we can together as a family, we never take the easy road and if we see a track, we always wonder where it will lead us, so we generally take it to see where it leads.
    Thanks for watching and reading if you have made it this far down, hope you enjoyed.

    The Foodworks shop in Coral Bay is amazing, the best fresh veg and meat. The shop is packed to the hill with anything you need to live,repair
    and upgrade your camping supplies.
    The owners and staff are very friendly

      Hey mate your 100% right normally but with this many people in coral bay at the moment there wasn’t too much to choose from to be honest. And it’s like that in all the small towns atm so we don’t tend to rely on them too much just in case.

    Enjoying the content gets better every episode. The bracket on the side steps is pretty average made of industrial plastic no protection, a fairly easy exercise to fabricate a guard mounted to the front support....the bottom line you shouldn't have do it the step manufacturer should obligated to do so, lucky it did hang down and get torn right off, good the kids spotted it.the I take jumper leads a few welding rods & a welding lens 2 batteries hooked up you can run a 12 grade welding rod saved the day on a couple of days occasions. .Safe travels .

    • @lappingtheisland
      @lappingtheisland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Ian Dibley yeah I have jumper cables for that too just no welding rods need to pick some up. Yeah pretty poor they didn’t protect it but I should of seen it before we left and done something too. Cheers for the kind words.

      @@craigsargeant7248 near site 39 off the main track there is a track leading to the big sand dune on the east side go down this and you will come to a turnaround area, there you will see an old hand pump , . Water appears quite good but would definitely boil before using for drinking but fine for showers cooking etc.

    I've only recently found your channel so I'm catching up on episodes but really enjoying them. 😎 What is the significance of the blue lighting? I know orange lighting is supposed to be good for not attracting bugs but is that the same with the blue lighting? Or did you just want to become Smurfs for awhile? 😋

    • @lappingtheisland
      @lappingtheisland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤣🤣🤣 the van comes with blue lights or white lights. Not too sure if it’s the same effect as orange lights but it’s the only option we have so that’s what we do. Cheers for watching mate appreciate it 🤙🏼🤙🏼

    What sort of shark was that?? Did u worry having the kids swim there after that? It was 2m from the sand!! They are lovely to watch but does it spook u even a bit?

    • @lappingtheisland

      +MrWillmay think that was just a shovel nose, so not dangerous but there was a tiger shark swimming around. Yes we do worry but we look out constantly.
