    I share your love of the SKX. My collection just wouldn’t be the same without my 007 and 009. Thank you for highlighting this affordable classic.

    Totally agree with you! Just bought a SKX009 few days ago and I really love it. There is something special about the dial, proportions, super lumibrite, my toolwatch for everyday. I paid 280 euros for a very great mint condition one. Very happy 😁

      Its really a great watch for the money. People say it costs too much 2nd hand but that's because its AMAZING. LOL! My SKX has been ABSOLUTELY trouble free and reliable for many years now. Plus I get more compliments when I wear my SKX than when I wear my Tudor, Grand Seiko, Rolex and so on. Thanks for commenting and I'm glad you love your wonderful Seiko and wear it with pride.

    Yes, definitely a keeper for anyone into Seiko. I’ll pass mine on to my daughter, who might appreciate it. If not, it’s sure to fetch a good price on the used market.

      I think it would be a great gift to leave to your daughter. It will definitely run forever. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Please subscribe if you haven't already.

    I’ve been watch collecting for years but really got serious like 3 years ago and I bought a Seiko Snk809k1 just this week! I got it for a work beater but nah I love it! It doesn’t hack or wind and I don’t care! I love the sandblasted look and for a 37mm it’s super clean.

      Thats a great looking watch and I love they way Seiko pronounced the minutes over the hour markings. It makes people take a second glance at it when they see it. Then you're like, "Ahhh...I get it now."

    Well done. Great summary of its strong points. It is still a classic to be respected. It has better water resistance ratings, though few of us will ever need it. There hasn’t been anything like it - up to that level of bang for 5he buck - since it was discontinued.

      I agree. And because of those points I'll probably never sell mine. Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe if you haven't already.

      I just recently got this really cool Invicta Fleiger. It was super cheap and pretty nice looking with a great leather strap. Not an automatic though so no shaking for mine. LOL

    Will never move on from my SKX009.

      Yeah, I agree. I've been offered $350 but I just can't take it.

    I own 5 SKX models. I don’t mind buying more. If Teddy doesn’t want one, I’ll have it. Fewer people like it the better tbh.

    The reason why you would wind your watch before taking it off for two days it's because you want it to have the correct time when you pick it back up

    • @RolandDigsIt
      @RolandDigsIt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get what you're saying but keep in mind the 4R36 movement on the new Seiko 5 only has a 41 hrs power reserve. So even if it's fully charged you'd have to wear it or wind it every day and a half or it'll start to lose serious time. I get about 39 hrs power reserve out of my 2021 Seiko 5 SRPD. So I can see both sides. Thanks for commenting.

    It's time to move on.....because Teddy has watches to sell 😂

      @RolandDigsIt  ปีที่แล้ว

      HAHA! I never thought of it that way. Maybe I should start pushing TIME TO MOVE ON with some watches I need to sell also. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Or a person could just buy a watch winder.. problem solved

    • @RolandDigsIt
      @RolandDigsIt  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      True. A simple watch winder would do the trick. I use watch winders alot and you can see them in the background of my videos. I had a person comment once that watch winders destroy your watch movement. So I can win. LOL
