      But once you had a ton of systemic fatigue so that you became an empty shell for a few weeks you know it's worth it. For me the most important thing was to just stop thinking about the weight and just make sure I'm at or close to failure in the right rep range, do that for a few months and then once you mastered that technique you can start to program progression in weight again, in the meantime just work with sets and RIR

    Keep in mind, the Five stars are based on my needs for this item th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS When I first bought the bike I was going to return it immediately. After trying it out for several days/weeks I came to realize it is actually perfect for WHY I bought it.This is not a workout, the resistance is, eh, it makes a bit of noise, not loud, and it isn’t very stable even with the mat. The mat certainly keeps the bike from sliding but nothing keeps the mat from sliding (if that makes any sense, lol). Mine is place on my hard wood floor. Maybe it would be better with a rug underneath??I sit for long hours for work and wanted something to keep my legs moving. This bike does exactly that! For the price it is amazing, it is compact, easy to use, light weight, keeps track of time, calories etc (not sure how accurate it is) but good little product. I am happy with it.

I absolutely hate SLDL and RDL's so usually pussy out and just use the seated leg curl. I have really tight/weak hamstrings so going to put my big boy pants on and start doing some RDLs and accept I am weak in this area and pain and discomfort is the only way I am going to improve.

    Hey Mike.
    I know you teach slow eccentrics, but are there any negatives hypertrophy-wise to doing really slow eccentrics (3-4 seconds) since it drastically reduces the weight lifted (and thereby mechanical tension?)? I've programmed 3 second eccentrics on all lifts for my bulk training plan, since it helps with my technique and proprioception (which is kind of lacking).

    • @domepiece11
      @domepiece11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s essentially the equivalent of butt wink on a squat. You generally want to avoid it. Your low back is quickly going between extension and flexion under heavy loads. It can be a recipe for a disc injury. That’s why they had the woman with the massive quads reduce her depth on the SLDL.
