Anyone who saw the live stream - I read the question at the end without seeing any of the other comments from the user - scrolled down it seemed like a bit of a funny and light hearted question to end on, was absolutely mortified to catch up with some of the obscene comments from the (now banned!) offending individual. I find it very sad that in a healing world somebody would go out of their way to attempt to sabotage people giving up their free time. Feel pretty upset and cross with myself for not paying enough attention, I read through in order and occasionally scroll down, needless to say we have increased moderators for next time. Sincere apologies, I genuinely hope this person gets some help - they obviously need it!
I'm sorry this happened to you here. I've seen awful people spewing hate online and in person protesting the quarantine orders armed with machine guns! I didn't see the live video, but I can only imagine. I enjoy this channel very much, and have so much more to learn, so thank you for all the time you put into it. :) Colette from Arizona (formerly Michigan where some of that terrible protesting took place in the USA).
Hi guys- I understand now, in light of Louise ‘s comment, why I was dropped, saying that your live feed was private. Anyway, I sent you a message through At The Bench, so disregard my question. Thanks for all of your efforts. I do so enjoy
Dang, now I'm just curious... Is there a way to see what happened, was it just immaturity or what? Unfortunate you guys have to deal with that. Fantastic videos and services to all. Thank you guys.
Thank you! Learned more from your excellent videos than from my local jeweller's academy. Very generous of you. You are appreciated more than you know!
Thank you both so very much. your time is so appreciated. and you both have helped me such alot in the few episodes I have seen. Cheers Maureen Chandler
I have a suggestion for fitting bezels to a round ring shank. Make a very high bezel. Get a set of wooden (cheap) or steel dapping punches. Find the one whose diameter matches the ring shank’s. Cover with sandpaper and rub bottom of bezel along it till it perfectly fits the ring shank...bliss
Hi there.. Just watching this video now. Live is way past my bedtime in Oz 😴 I'd like to know where to get that 'bad boy' wire attachment thingy for a brushed finish on silver. Hope you read this. Thanks 😊 And stay safe 😷
I love these videos, especially in Lockdown.would you be able to do a video on working and cutting shell to add mother of pearl to pieces.I have also tried horn, but the smell was too awful for a small flat. Many thanks.
LOVE your videos!! I've always wondered why the jewelers workbenches are up so high. I am currently using a 5 foot banquet table and frequently end up with a back ache or neck ache from the angle I end up working at so I'm assuming I need something higher. Also, what does your regular workbench look like? I dont mean the one that you are usually at when you make these videos. That one looks way to clean! LOL
Hi Andrew. The little cutting jig that you don't have costs £25+VAT (£30) for one that has only 45° and 90° jaws from Cousins UK. I bought one 6 months ago. Being a vice held tool, it's very stable and the results are very impressive. Use an old/worn file for finishing as it'll probably damage a good file. The Bergeon version costs £295+VAT if any spoilt brat wants one 🤣 The one that has the 45°, 60°, 90°, 120° & 135° costs £60+VAT. They're perfect for getting perfection from the start. That's always crucial. I've taken 2 steps forward and 1 step back too many times and "problems" usually come a knockin when the piece is nearly finished. All the best to ye. Keep up the streams. There's always a couple of nuggets in them 😉
Hi, Andrew and Louise. Thank you so much for putting on these informational vids. Can you give the brand name and where you purchased the green plastic and metal burnishing wheel for which you sprinted? Stay well!
I'm in Ireland and had major problems with the sole supplier in this country. I've been buying from Cousins for a few years now and find them to be excellent. Their prices are usually the best that i can find and i get my goods delivered in 3 days at most.
Hi Andrew .... I need your help !! I use sealing wax to block and work stones. But how can I eliminate and clean the pieces of wax that remain attached to the stones when I detach them? ..... thank you very much .....
I am new here. I have seen about 4 or 5 videos. and Louise I am pleased to nearly meet you. my name is Maureen and my family and friends call me MO. I have left several comments. Im from colorado USA. I would like to know can I melt my scraps with propane or do I need map gas.
Love your channel everything just makes sense! I'm a admin of a FB coin ring group I try to tell people about your techniques but there's a lot of stubborn people that think this way if the only way!? I don't care what you have taught me works!😃

Crikey, 3rd or 4th Q&A. Good idea putting the unanswered questions together four into a film.
Thanks Andrew, Louise and Everyone. Brilliant as always.
Brilliant. Looking forward to next week.
Thanks for the explanation of flush setting. Your diagrams made clear what I didn't understand from your earlier video.
Glad it helped
Thank you.. you are the best teacher...

You can easily melt your silver scraps with propane and butane gas. Even a small hand held torch can melt small amounts.

Thank you so much both of you! ☺️💝
Thank you too!
