Yes!🙌 caring for/styling "natural" hair is quite the challenge! I'm Mexican(husband is white) and my oldest and I have pretty silky but looser ringlets(I call it mermaid hair lol), and then my second had "angel hair"(extremely fine, thin, light, stick straight) until puberty where her hair just suddenly shifted to "natural"/"ethnic" and I had NO idea how to deal w it! I was caught so off-gaurd and unprepared bc of her childhood hair! So anyway, we're on year 3 of figuring out how to deal w her hair and we have made a ton of progress(it was EXTREMELY dry, tangled, lots of breakage etc), but if anyone out there has any tips, please send them my way!🙏 She's been trying to grow it out forever but it stayed the same length until very recently bc it just kept breaking off. She's been using a lot of masks, protein treatments, oils etc, and it has helped a ton w the breakage🙌 I feel like we've got it about 75% figured out at this point, but I wonder if there are some holy grails or tips we just havent yet discovered! Lol please weigh in ladies!🙏 side note, how do you deal w dandruff?! I would have SO much if I only washed a few times per month. Youngest can't wash more than once or twice/week bc of dryness, so how do we deal w dandruff?! TIA!
@@GwendolynHervey thanks! We've tried SO many things for dandruff, H&S included, and nothing seems to help! We've tried tars, salicylic acid, tea tree, acv, antifungals(internal and external), ivermectin(for mites), diet changes, etc.😕 any specific oil you recommend? We're using argan right now on the ends and that's helped, along w masks, protein treatments etc. I feel like we've almost got the dryness/breakage addressed, but we haven't gotten anywhere w dandruff! It blows my mind that so many black people can wear the same style for weeks and it looks just as good and dandruff free the whole time bc by day 2, we start flaking all over the place and she really can't afford to shampoo more than once or twice a week bc of the dryness of her actual hair. Thank goodness her hair is lighter and it's not nearly as visible as it is on my very dark hair that looks like I got snowed on 24/7 no matter if I wash every day or once a week🤦♀️

Yes, really!! It was a simple compliment and certainly not an attempt to short change black women in any way whatsoever! How on earth were you able to extract my words and turn them into bitterness and negativity? This Mom has said in previous videos that she learned her braiding skills from black women. Sometimes, you can look for negativity in places where none exist! Peace Sis.

Just in case you’re wondering I must chime in and mention why all or most of the African American Community is so happy, proud, and pleased with how you are able to expertly and beautifully manage Tyanna’s hair! It’s simply because in the past not many Moms of another culture knew what to do with African American hair…..so their daughters and sons (for that matter) hair just seemed to be left to look wild and unkempt. But even when you allow Tyanna’s hair to be free and loose….no one is mad at you, because you know what you’re doing, and we know what you’re doing…..so we all feel safe 😊 and no matter Tyanna still looks absolutely beautiful! “YOU” are helping to teach us to be proud of our hair, even in its most natural and most beautiful state ❤ As your baby girl gets older, please continue to teach her to love her beautiful natural hair, and not to follow any trends that might damage her beautiful locks….this is so very important with Black hair. Thank You Rhianna…. Speaking for most of us Moms out here….. We love you and your family 🥰
What’s the purpose in laying her down just to do her hair? That’s not cute. One doesn’t have to perform surgery to do OUR hair. I’m concerned that she may grow up thinking that that’s what happens ALL THE TIME when doing African American/Black girls and women’s hair.
She is better than some black mothers. Let’s tell the truth 👍🏽. I used to be at a Head Start for several years. Some teachers or teachers’ assistants would tidy up a few of the lil girls hair. 👍🏽👍🏽
Who says you can’t do her hair? This is amazing. Give this mom some respect, she did better than what I’ve been seeing on the internet. ❤Her hair is beautiful.

@crystalsthefutureempress Stop it!!! Take your negatively elsewhere.

Peace Sis.
As a Black Woman I have to say it, AMAZING JOB!!! You nailed it ever so beautifully and made the experience super fun… 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯%
You're such loving parents. I really enjoy, following all your adventures, as a family. TyAnna is so funny, I enjoy how loving her father is, and how sentimental. Keep the love going.
Mom, you did an amazing, beautiful job 🥰
I love when white moms of black kids actually learn how to props are for and style black hair! It looks healthy, well moisturized and the style is soooo pretty on this little princess. Great job mom, she looks so happy.
❤Wonderful job❤
Kan! She does do a wonderful job!!

Someone on here said a black woman company called Shampoo Time has it. I'm going to check it out.

It's by Shampoo Time, a Black Mom owned company💞
You two knew what you were doing. You did not go into this half-heartedly. It shows. Well done!!! 👏👏👏

“YOU” are helping to teach us to be proud of our hair, even in its most natural and most beautiful state ❤
As your baby girl gets older, please continue to teach her to love her beautiful natural hair, and not to follow any trends that might damage her beautiful locks….this is so very important with Black hair.
Thank You Rhianna….
Speaking for most of us Moms out here…..
We love you and your family 🥰
I wish I could give you a hug.. so beautifully said.
Totally understand, I'm still not able to look after my natural hair
OH BOY. JUST.STUMBLED ACROSS THIS..BEAUTIFUL. GOD BLESS YOU❤😊
Wow you really took time to teach yourself how to groom her hair!!!!! Just fabulous Momma!!!!!!
You are Amazing mother. She is blessed to have great parents. Awesome job on her hair. What a beautiful brown skin princess!
You re such a great mom❤
I'm so proud of you for taking care of this baby's hair! Good job mom! Her hair is beautiful!
What’s the purpose in laying her down just to do her hair? That’s not cute. One doesn’t have to perform surgery to do OUR hair. I’m concerned that she may grow up thinking that that’s what happens ALL THE TIME when doing African American/Black girls and women’s hair.
no chemicals, in hair etc....naturally beautiful 😍
I love how you show your love, support and commitment to your daughter! Rock on!
You are goals for white moms who adopt our precious black baby girls!!! ♥️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾♥️
Goals for some black mums too!!

@@115dancingqueenI was about to say just that. 💯💯💯
Yesss ❤
She is better than some black mothers. Let’s tell the truth 👍🏽. I used to be at a Head Start for several years. Some teachers or teachers’ assistants would tidy up a few of the lil girls hair. 👍🏽👍🏽
Who says you can’t do her hair? This is amazing. Give this mom some respect, she did better than what I’ve been seeing on the internet. ❤Her hair is beautiful.
Did someone say anything negative that you saw in this post to make you say that?
@@ChiviA84 I was gonna ask the same. We are not anti-White, we are anti-"You didn't do your research and it shows."
You can give Mom respect without putting others down or demanding us to give flowers. This Mom EARNED her flowers. No attitude needed.

No, some BP just feel like they need to approve of or praise WP and other races when they indulge in black culture.....
Then later, they wounder why other people could be come culture vultures and want to claim they invented things. Prime example: HIP HOP( music genre)
