I’ve been doing freshwater for 10+ years.. making the switch to saltwater. I gotta say I was feeling overwhelmed and ready to give up. Till I found your channel. Your videos are awesome man. Straight to the point. The perfect amount of information for a beginner to take in.
Hi Broch. This unrelated i can delete after you answer my 2 questions. Fish just ask compadible. I have 2 engineer goby small. And a medium size diamond watch. I would like to add Starry Blenny now can i add or need to take something and rehome. 2nd i have a small scopas and a Regal blue hippo tang. Both 4.inch each. Can i add a kole eye tang or a tomini tang? Thanks in advance
My beautiful powder blue nips at just about any coral that is green, including green leathers and green star polyps. I have a second tank I keep those corals in. But yea, bought a $100 piece of australian green finger leather and have fragged it many times, so I have at least a half dozen colonies.
@@BrockLeonard he leaves most corals alone. He's a beautiful fish and it's not easy in my experience to have a nice healthy powder blue. That's reefing, gotta take the good with the bad.
Hi ! Nice video, I got one Nephtea sp yesterday but I'm worried because it is completely bent, it looks almost upside down it lost the "straight" shape, and it's shedding. Didn't lost the colour or shrunk, but I'm still really worried, is it a normal behaviour in the acclimatation process ? Have you ever seen something similar ? Thanks for your time 🙏
@@BrockLeonard Thank you very much for your answer but he unfortunately died 😭 never understood why.. I still have a clavularia, bought the same day and it's beautiful, it works like a charm and is spreading on the rock 🥰
i got one from my lfs and i went to move it a it ripped in too and has these roots growing out of it and it hasn't open up since and. algae has. started growing on the roots, how do i fix this
I would place it somewhere in a higher current so that algae does not continue to grow. Try to clear off any algae that you can from the coral. And if you have any liquid foods you could feed it, that would help too.
Definitely should try to lower it. Over time it can be an issue. DKH really comes from topping off your tank with freshwater. In order to lower it, let the tank evaporate and use unbuffered top off water to fill it. That will get it down.

How's the switch? Ready to rip your hair out yet? lol
Please keep these videos the same ,very direct and to the point..Definitely my go to when I'm researching a coral..
I appreciate you always coming to watch!😁
I get into alot of these videos and this guy gets to the facts/point pretty quick.
Touches all areas of coral care.
I appreciate you always coming to watch!! 😄
Oh wow. Those are really cool. Love the green color.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great video! Do you have any experience with the colt coral? Was curious if care is any different vs Nepthea or Kenya thanks!
A must have leather they are really beautiful! Have you ever had these spawn in your tank? Its one of the few corals I’ve had do this successfully.
In one of our show tanks, we had sooo many begin to pop up all around the tank it turned into a NEPTHEA/anemone tank 😂
Thanks, great information. I just got a piece of this coral and wondering where I could place it in my 120 gal tank.
Thank you for explaining! As always super informative!
Sooooo happy I can help you Julia!
I have one of these. One of my favorites
They are so pretty!
Sup bro nice video! Keep it up!❤❤❤
Will they ever lose their neon green color .love your videos
Mine is huge and very long , I have a 280 gallon and looks like is about to be too big for the tank, will it keep growing ??
They really don’t stop 😅
Need a video on Gonnipora. Mine is loosing its beautiful green glow. All other corals look great
What are the differences between nephtia and sinularia?
Could there be a remake of the powder brown tang vid?
I definitely want to end up doing like “part 2’s” and where I got back over stuff and include some more detailed information.
@@BrockLeonard Nice!
can they sting other coral or peacefull?

Should you cut it to frag out of the tank or is ok to just cut it
I recently got a finger leather frag. I was having trouble finding a place to get it started. Will they grow if stuck into a corse sand bed?
What are the differences, distinguishing characteristics between nepthia and sinularia?
That is a tough one. Usually key things I see are the sinularia are much tighter with shorter fingers. Most are tan in coloration too.
Can you maybe do a all about on dragon wrasse
How do you mount leathers into tank to prevent them from falling over.
Best to use rubble rock and rubber band the pieces around the leather in order to keep it standing.
Can you recommend a leather coral that I can keep on a 13 1/2 gallon reef tank that won’t get too big thank you I appreciate it

Hate the powder keeps nipping, but getting all those frags is grea

The acclimation could have shocked it a bit, the shedding can last a few days, but hopefully it comes back up soon. How's it looking now?

Do one on the green moray eel

@@BrockLeonard it has attached itself to the rock so i cant move it
My dkh is running high around 16 is that a big problem done water changes doesn’t help

Why you never recommend live phytoplankton? Instead of reef roids and oyster feast
Also a solid choice! Thanks for sharing it
It's like a cowfish when stressed/dies
Whats a good reef light under $50 for a 20gal?

Hey Brock how are you doing
Doing great! So glad it is friday !
I had a hard time understanding everything because I speak Spanish 😂😂 but the truth is very good video
