We've been busy with school for the last several months, but the semester was over last week, and Rylan Ulrich has been working on v2 designs for the DuoDocks ! We finally have a new magnetic design that we are very excited to have, and believe that we'll start selling it in just a couple weeks. The dock is about 0.5cm shorter, and 1.0cm thinner. What we love about this 24 pin magnet is that it is very snug in the USB-c port (so it doesn't come out nearly as easily!) has a much lower profile very much in line with the bumper, supports fast charging and full USB 3.1 connectivity with video out, etc. Rylan's also working on a hinged design to allow custom angles that we are shooting for release with the Duo v2. If you like the current magnetic version, we think you will love the new version.
Where are the DuoDocks available for purchase? I am going to be purchasing the Duo 1 soon and was very interested in the dock/stand mentioned in the video

I have been watching your channel covering the Surface Duo since last Sep. I think $1400 may be a bit too expensive especially with the clumsy camera. Other than that, the duo screens of the Surface Duo is really fun to use. I bought mine at US$690. and I am very happy with its performance so far. It is a lot better than the other dual screen phones from LG. I use my Duo as my main phone. Also, I fully agree with you that the Surface Headphone is perfect companion to the Surface Duo.
I bought the Duo. Been using a Raphael 520 stylus. Works great and no AAAA batteries. Plus I've been using my Galaxy Watch for NFC payments, so the lack of NFC on the Duo is less of a headache.
I got my ideas for surface Duo accessories from this video. I bought the following:. Microsoft Pen, small stand, two keyboards, one is a three peace, touch pad keyboard, the other is a one peace, Microsoft Surface mouse, ZAGG screen protector, magnetic usb-c to usb-c charging connector, holster, bumper and skin slide on cover. At this point, I am considering the heavier metallic stand.
I will say about the skins: the leather ones look cool and they feel great but they're thicker than the others. It really strains the "phone mode" meaning the bumpers are a must.
Excellent accessories video. I really wanted the Duo when it first came out but never pulled the trigger. If the Duo 2 comes out and is to my liking I will certainly take advantage of some of these. Great job!!
When using the magnetic USB c connector, have you found that you can't transfer files to and from pc? That the device doesn't allow the option other than to charge. When I connect without it, then I get the prompt to select what I want to do and can transfer files.

Also there's a dock from Beelink called EXPAND that has all the USB C expansion ports and phone dock all built as a single unit. I got it to convert an old LG V30 into a standalone music/video player.
I must be really lucky with the USB-C port, 8 months in an still no cracking around my port. Still wish they would price the bumpers more reasonable, I would like the graphite bumper, but not at $40.
my bumper is peeling off. im not talking about the plastic with the adhesive, im talking about the rubber on it. Also where can I get a new bumper? also i have a REALLY bad charger port crack. its not even a crack, the plastic to the right of the port is totally gone!

I've been interested in the Duo since before it came out as a productivity device (as I have used Surface Pro 3 for years as my primary work device...and will probably/finally be upgrading this fall when/if they announce a new Surface Pro), but wasn't going to spend $1,400 on a 1st gen device that had some obvious shortcomings (i.e. no 5G potential, no wireless charging, etc). However, I was in NYC recently and was able to actually handle one at the MS Experience store (since all local MS stores are now gone) and with the price drop to the $600 range, it was worth giving it a try while hoping that a 2nd gen device will be a big step forward. Thanks for the tip on the dock...I'll probably give that a try. Would like to find a good case that will hold a pen but not be too bulky. Unfortunately, nearly all of the cases that you featured didn't have a option for pen storage, so that would be something to look into more.
I love the Surface Series but I hated my Surface Headphones. They're made of cheap glued plastic, which caused them to last less than a year. I also hate that you cannot turn off the auto-pause feature. It's so annoying when my music pauses simply because my headphones nudged slightly on my head.
The flydigi wee 2t is not working good with my surface duo I've tried the classic mod and the flash play mod and still not working with pubg and call of duty. If you have any advice please help me. thanks.
Shane can you please help me out with a few issues I am having. I cannot seem to figure out how to talk text on my duo2. Is it capable of doing this. Also, I am finding that when I swipe sometimes it is not working correctly. Have you had any issues with the screen not cooporating or is it operate error🤔. I appreciate all your tips and help! After I figure everything out I will definitely be ordering through your links!

We have upgraded our wifi and have tried it at different locations and still doesn't work. Is anyone else having these issues?

You say you are a nerd, and i would love to know how it is to play MTGO through steamlink app on the surface duo. It is a PC only game. I sometimes use steamlink on my phone to stream my monitor and play mtgo that way. would love to know how steam link works on the duo in general at least. Thanks!!
Got a brand new Duo 1 for 299 unlocked on Amazon. Love it. My 2 year old zfold 2 screen failed for the second time, done with it.

Welcome to TH-cam - just quick advice, you can put the ring light to the right or left of you and it won't reflect off your glasses. Keep rocking it.

Steam link and moonlight both work fine! No spanning like game pass, but it's good. Could through TH-cam on the other screen too.
