1. seeing your name drop recently literally inspired me to take the plunge and change my name and 2. that's the first thing i thought of when you and zac were like "how are you doing omg congratulations" and that was v sweet, great video thank you aspen 🤠
i wanted to thank you because after multiple sessions od trying to knit and ending uf frustrated and crying after casting on, then coming back to crochet solely, your tutorial on the top down raglan step by step was my. first ever knitting project and I finished it!!! now im on my third project, short rows, saddle shoudler construction and a thousand other things that were intimidating arent that complicated (not more than. counting ;) ), 2 fo's, one wip - currently my fav things knitwear tee no. 1, have the yarn for petite's knit storm sweater and my mom's birthday mohair cardigan. soory ffor the tangents, but I just want you to know Aspen, im in love with this world. I've followed you for years and watched every video that I ever saw of yours. You and the community inspired me to start my youtube video about making and art, textiles, fibers, diy and im in the process of recording a project vlog as well as planning a knitting podcast episode no. 1. I'm just so grateful for you to, not to sound dramatic, but switch up my life completely. now fiber arts are such a sense off empowerment, comfort, satisfaction, joy and helped so much with my mental health for the past few years of being in and out off hospitals. It gave me power and a sense of purpose to fight for something, and seeingg your journy, talking self-awareness, being so pure and real (im also audhd so ffor that you are an 'safety' person foe me as well), I just see your joy while looking at a duck, pigeon, a project or a beautiful view and immediatly Im like ' yeah, of course all those things are f'ing insane and worth it to keep going". Sounds cliche, and it is, but its painffuflly true. Aspen, a huge package of gratitude from me. I hope I can one day repay you somehow. Marta PS. until now, and unless i hurry up with the yt channel and podcast - until forever, my therapist will be forced to. look at my wips and fo's every week ahaa
So so happy to hear this!! I love sharing knitting with people, it’s such a beautiful and versatile hobby 🫶🏻 wishing you success and fun for the future of your knitting projects + podcast!!
the POV: we asked how you're doing section had me dying laughing bc i mentally answered the question with "we found out i might have lupus" which was followed by "that's awesome! yeah you really deserve it :)" 🤣🤣🤣
To quote David Bowie: "Blue, blue, electric blue, that's the color of my room, where I will live." (I think of that line instinctively every time someone mentions that color)
I fully commiserate with this stage of hair growth. When I shaved my head at this phase I made myself oh so many hats and invested in hair clips and such.
I always enjoy your videos so much and they are such a great comfort to me. I really like your way of talking. I‘d love to see more vlog style videos, but honestly, don’t pressure yourself. We enjoy everything you put out there, since you always create such a nice atmosphere. And another thing: as someone who is on the nonbinary spectrum, seeing other people being so calm about it, and nice and natural, just means a lot to me and I feel very comforted. I hope it’s your favorite whether today
I would love to see more vlog style videos from you! I love seeing how you work up projects and you have a really good eye for design in your pieces which is always really inspiring. You and Kelsey are total comfort creators so its nice to just work on a project and watch you work on a project too - like being in a virtual knitting circle! Excited to see the progress on this piece in the coming vlogs. Also, Aspen suits you really well and hearing people say it in the vlogs from this trip has felt so natural!
ooo very much liking the project vlog vibes! and the new name! Can't wait to see how this project turns out, ty for keeping me company while I eat my breakfast Aspen!! I hope you had so much fun w your friends by the lake! ^-^
If none's told you lately, you are an amazing person, take your time coming back, because "WE HAVE YOUR BACK"... Praise • UP Rise • UP Live it • UP...🥰
If I'm using indie/hand-dyed yarn, I always alternate rows. It works really well! I'm glad you are giving it a try. It really is the only way to prevent that line if you're using hand-dyed yarn. Even the best indie dyers have slight variations in dye lots. Store bought yarn, though? As long as it's the same dye lot on the label, alternating rows is not necessary. I can't wait to see your finished product!
Me: ooh latee da what a great day to watch my favorite crochet person, e Aspen: Hi I'm Aspen and this is my sweater 🙃 Me: !!!!!! My favorite crochet person ASPEN!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Aspen! Your trip looked perfect and I’m obsessed with that electric blue colour way. I never considered that I could switch up skeins like that to avoid a stripe! Also we have the same hair issues - I’ve got very straight short hair and when I wake up every morning, it looks like I’ve been electrocuted 😂
That color is amazing and it's going to be gorgeous! Funny that your code is "crochet crew" and you were all knitting... this is the kind of vacation I'd love to go on. Looks like a nice bunch of folks to hang with. Looking forward to seeing the finished sweater.
looks like the trip was a lot of fun! I hope you enjoyed meeting your online friends and have fortified your friendships :) also, i really love that blue color!
can't wait to see the finished sweater! also I have the same issue with hair sticking out perpendicularly every time it's short and it's a lot lol, good luck with the whole floof taming!
I’m a new sub by from Kelsie. That sweater is going to be gorgeous. I so enjoyed y’all’s trip, y’all were all so awesome. Hope you’re having a great day.❤
Okay 2 things: Your crafting crew's vibe is immaculate. ❤😂 Also, maybe an unpopular opinion, but f* Interchangeable needles. So many little bits to put together before you get knitting. Fixed circulars 5ever!!!!!!
I really miss the commentary videos on your other channel. Totally understand if you are not into making them right now, just hoping that one day we will get another one 💜
I need you to know that in the thumbnail I fully thought you were wearing one of those "Please be patient, I have autism" hats and I was like. Okay, slay.
I think your hair would look good with like a natural looking wave or loose curl try scrunching your hair with a towel when you have washed it then letting it air dry also I wanna crochet an oversized cardigan with huge buttons with this yarn. I'm a new subscriber I follow kelsie so I came to check out your channel cos I liked your vibe 😊
OH YAYYY! I love your content and I'm so happy that you're interested in vlogging! I definitely want check in vids if you're able to make them. Seeing others work on their projects fills me with joy and inspires me to keep working on my own
Ah yes, buying yarn with a specific idea in mind, then realizing that’s the last thing you want to make and doing something COMPLETELY different. I most certainly haven’t done that recently. Fantastic color, though!
Aspen is the best name. You have now gained pseudo-immortality - cut one Aspen down but there are 50 other clones spread over hundreds of feet that continue the Aspen name 💜🌈
How the heck can you knit with out looking that’s awesome also yes Massachusetts does have long winters I think this year is gonna be long cause we start fall a little bit early 😢 but the color of that yarn so so beautiful ❤
Aspen suits you. you could call the other channel "Missed in the Moment" though, like "here's what you missed in crafting drama this month"
or missed the moment (off drama that Aspen is kind enough to recap us on)
and here's what you missed. on GLEE!!
i think Asp-in the moment or some variation of it could be cute too
@@kkaitlynrenee Good idea!
the lake vibes are immaculate. everyone say thank you aspen!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Aspen!!!!! I love lake/waterfront vibes 😊
THANK YOU ASPEN
I love the lake!! Woooo!!!
Thank you aspen❤
thank you aspen!!
aspen and zac: how're you doing?
me: well, you know, depression and stuff
aspen and zac: :o congratulations, you deserve it
oh um....... we should've had an alternate "i'm so sorry to hear that, you deserve to be happy it'll be okay"
I have a lot of health problems at the moment and I laughed out loud when they were like “you deserve it”
Oh god! Not the intended outcome of that bit hahahah
Healing for everyone❤❤❤
Oh to be at a lake house with all my queer friends crocheting and yapping... this is seriously the dream
“everyone is watching rent” “and by watching i mean signing at full volume” SAY THE NAMES ASPEN. SAY IT. WHO? GO ON!
MRSMOONANDHEAVEN is singing RENT at FULL VOLUME !!!!

To quote David Bowie: "Blue, blue, electric blue, that's the color of my room, where I will live." (I think of that line instinctively every time someone mentions that color)

Aspen! What a lovely name you've chosen for yourself. Very excited to see where this journey takes you :)

A new video from Aspen!!
Ah yes, buying yarn with a specific idea in mind, then realizing that’s the last thing you want to make and doing something COMPLETELY different. I most certainly haven’t done that recently.
Fantastic color, though!
I would really love to get into knitting. I've been crocheting for years. Any recommendations/tips for beginners/ first projects?
Aspen is the best name. You have now gained pseudo-immortality - cut one Aspen down but there are 50 other clones spread over hundreds of feet that continue the Aspen name 💜🌈
Dare I say Asp-In The Moment 🤔
Hi there Aspen! Lovely to see you again- best wishes from Tasmania!
Instead of "dead name", might I encourage the use of the far cooler sounding "necronym"?
That hat is a power move!! 😂😂😂

me walking in just to yell at jaida and then leave to go back to singing rent inside LMAO
