"I am good looking enough for the both of us," is one of the most perfect character-defining quotes of all time.

Man,the fact that she married Bill despite the scars on his face showed that she loved him for real and not because of his looks. When she declared that she would married him and proudly claimed that the scars shows her husband's bravery she really won my respect and the respect of many others.

Same here. I love that scene in the book when she sees what happened to Bill and Molly insinuates Fleur wont want to marry him anymore because of his injuries. I didn't really care for her character up until that point but she won me over with what she said..."What do I care how he looks?! I'm good-looking enough for the both of us, I think!"

Well I agree, then again personally I don't see why anyone would think that Fleur or any Veela or part Veela for that matter would marry a Witch, Wizard or maybe even a Muggle (I doubt it because I can't see any muggle being immune or resistant to their Allure and I doubt they'd want to be in a relationship with a constant drooling sack of meat or someone that might try to rape them granted I doubt said Muggle/No-maj would even live long because they would probably killed themselves trying to impress them) for just their looks.
Fleur is part Veela which means that she is supernaturally beautiful/superhumanly beautiful therefore none of them would ever marry a human for their looks because of the fact that by comparison all humans to them would be ugly or okay at best, no human could ever measure up to their standards of beauty because no matter how handsome or beautiful a Wizard or Wicth maybe they look like humans and thus their looks could never compare to that of a Veela or beings of similar beauty like Sirens/mermaids (merfolk that live in tropical waters the merfolk that Harry saw in the Black Lake live in cold water and because of that they are not as physically attractive as their tropical water cousins).
And on a completely unrelated note does any body else feels that Witches and Wizards shouldn't actually be classified as humans? Because their bodies produces (possibly naturally channels magic since we're not sure if they produce it or Channel it yet JKR haven't clarified that, personally I believe their bodies produce it) magic a supernatural energy that literally warps reality can and do alter reality at its most basic fundamental levels or take control of the environment around it. And witches and wizards and other magical beings do this with very little effort regularly. And the bodies of witches and wizards produces and runs off of this energy that has got to have some drastic effects on the genetic structure of witches and wizards. So personally I feel that witches and wizards at best are a subspecies of humanity pretty much a different branch after all there have been multiple other branches of humans throughout history (and they disappeared for some unknown reason) and we've had children with them. Anyway or perhaps witches and wizards just look human but are in fact an different species I mean the fact that they can breed with humans is that because they're genetically similar enough or is it because of magic since we are well aware that witches and wizards can in fact breed with completely different sentient magical species Hagrid and Professor Flitwick and Fleur and Gabriella Delacour and their mother are proof of that. Though I suppose the fact that muggles don't have magic would probably mean that witches and wizards are genetically similar enough to them to breed with them.

Fleur is one of my favorite characters.
When Bill is injured and Molly is tending to him and trying to give her the out to leave him, the way she gets beyond offended and snaps. “I am beautiful enough for the both of us. And I will be doing THAT.” SNATCHES RAG OUT OF MOLLYS HAND 👏 👏 👏 👏
Love her. Fiery. And also not entirely human so that’s just super cool!

When we first hear of Bill, we learn he was a Head Boy and excelled academically, but when we actually meet him, he's actually pretty, well, _cool._
When we first meet Fleur, she pretty much came off as a pretentious snob, but soon enough we see that beneath her shallow exterior she is compassionate and kind.
Both embody the idea of "don't judge a book by its cover", which interestingly enough they're on different ends of the spectrum. Bill is handsome and laidback, but firm and serious when the situation requires it, and Fleur can come off as snobby but is completely capable and willing to show tenderness and gratitude when people show that they truly deserve it.

OK, we ALL know the scene when we realized this ship was a good one.
I believe it went something like this.
Molly: *sniffling* And he was [q~"]going timeo be married
Fleur: Which do you mean he was "going" to be married? You think Bill will no longer wish to marry me? Because the's nothing that could stop bill from loving me.
(i love THIS part because it shows that she doesn't everven concider not loving him, also showing a tiny bit of selfcenteredness depending on how you look at it, which is true to hereer character)
    Molly: I just thought...
Fleur: *indignately ecuses molly of calling her shallow* (because I'm not surighte what she said until) All these scars show is that my husband is brave. I am beautiful enough for the both of us I think, AND I SHALL DO THAT! *shoves molly away and sponges Bills forehead*
(again, can come off as shallow, but also shows love,)
Molly: ... my aunt murial has a very tearra, goblin made, it will look nice with your hair.
Fleur: thank you *they hug and cry into eachothers shoulders*

I think that the fact she faught on Harry's side against Voldemort and let the goblin and wand maker (who's names I've forgotten) stay with her and bill shows she really is a good person at heart. She could have easily gone back to France and not got involved (maybe even convincing bill to go with her) but she chose to stay and do the write thing putting her own life at risk.

Her reason never made sense. She killed off Remus and Tonks to show that someone that loses their parents as a baby doesn’t have to end up like Voldemort. Except her ENTIRE series does that through its very hero, Harry Potter, who like Tom Marvelo Riddle has every reason to want to see the world burn yet does not. He is full of love, hope and compassion. He vows to himself and to Tonks and Remus that their son will know exactly who his parents were, what they believed in, and that Teddy would never live the way Harry did.

Even if the French actress who played her speak English fluently, she had to force her accent to sound French in The Goblet of Fire. I can hear that a lot when I watch the movie in its original version.
However, she lost that accent in the 7th movie because the character has spent enough time in the UK to speak English fluently.

I don't know if it was intended for the context of the sixth book, but I found the coldness that the females in the Weasley family and Hermione showed towards Fleur totally uncalled for. It's almost like they're were in effect accusing Bill of being shallow in his love of Fleur, totally out of order. They wouldn't have been around when Bill and Fleur met, so they won't know the full story of their connection. I'm glad Fleur was able to prove that she loved Bill unconditionally, regardless of how scarred he was thanks to Greyback, because it made Molly Weasley see sense. Too bad Ginny kept calling her Phlegm, which annoys me as nobody called her out for it

I don't think Fleur earned the dislike of Ginny, Hermione and partly of Mrs Weasley because of the language barrier, but because of her character, who always found something to disparage or complain about. (Just think of the scene when she said to Ron that "you are as bad as zat Tonks"). Further, Ginny and Hermione intensely disliked her because Fleur was so greatly admired by boys solely due to her exceptional looks (and Veela charm).
Mrs Weasley was not overtly inimical to Fleur, because she accepted her son's decision even if she did not approve of it.
But we saw at the end of the second trial that she was capable of love and sacrifice, when she did not allow Madam Pomfrey to treat her cuts and bruises before she made sure that Gabrielle was not hurt. And this is a major redeeming quality in JKR's world. Fleur felt an immediate attraction towards Bill ("Fleur Delacour, Harry noticed, was eyeing Bill with great interest over her mother's shoulder.") But then the great scene was indeed the one at the Hospital Wing at Bill's bed. This is one of my favourite scenes of the 7 books. "You thought I would not weesh to marry him? Or per'aps you 'oped?"

I believe 7 books and 8 movies are not enough. What if there also would be a tv series made. Maybe a prequel called the marauders or something. Offcourse it would only be epic if it has a good writing team. And what team would be better then harry folklore teamed up with movieflame :)

Yeah that relationship never made any sense to me just as the Ron and Hermione relationship never made any sense to me. That's not to say I have anything against Fleur she and her sister or two of my favorite characters and I always felt that there was more to her than we saw after all if nothing else she was obviously chosen to be the champion of her school for a very good reason granted we did not get a very good showing of that in the books because of circumstances and the Sabotage by Barty Crouch jr. And the Goblet of Fire movie movie showed her in an even worse light so I had look forward to see more of her in the future books. I have nothing against Bill either but as I said the relationship between them just never made much sense to me.

JK Rowling is a genius and I find all her characters to be well written along with the story itself which is the reason it became a literary phenomenon. The interest many have in attempting to dissect and analyze not having written anything themselves is proof of wanting to hitch a ride on her work and try to claim and enjoy some of that genius.

Bill and Fleur is my favourite Harry Potter pairing. They have spent a lot of time together. So I believe that they were in love and that it was well written. Other pairings were not well written. Ok Remus and Tonks make sense together. So Arthur/Molly and James/Lily. Also because Fleur said that Bill's scar mean that he is brave. I love how she acts. She wanted to marry him no matter what so that didn't change anything.
