    Honestly I am so relieved at the part where you mentioned about the work experiences, I have done some small volunteer work and worked with my family before throughout high school and some now in college. hearing about how they would look into what you have done helps, I am really hoping I can get into the DCP sometime in the future when this pandemic is over

    Great video! Looking forward to part 2. Even though others have done similar videos, I think it’s beneficial to hear lots of first hand accounts for people trying to prepare themselves for the program. So thank you for sharing your story!

    In my college (in mexico) you need to be a certain major, for example, theres the summer program and the semester program, in summer any major can apply except for medicine and for the semester only the ones related with international buissnes, turism, etc.
    I was about to apply this summer (i'm studying dentistry) but my college said there's a probability the program will open applications until 2022 :((

    I’m not sure if you can answer this question but how does it work to be a performer in the shows or parades? I’m a dancer and want to audition if I make it into the program so would that count as my job? Or would I have a different role and that would just be on the side of it? Thanks!

    • @Hockeyfan268
      @Hockeyfan268 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I know I’m not Bella but I did do the college internship. So if you wish to be a performer in the parades and such at walt disney world or
      Land you have to go to a Disney audition. What I did was, I applied for the Disney internship and when applying at the same time I was looking for auditions near me, which at the time was madison Wisconsin. So if you get accepted you are given a role on the acceptance email, but if you audition and they want you for a character role or performer role then they will change your role to what you auditioned for. I hope that helped, make sure you look up “the Disney college program” on google and on the website they should have it.

    • @bellaelisabeth8488
      @bellaelisabeth8488  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is actually something that I considered doing myself (and I'm still considering it). In order to be any kind of performer, you need to go to an audition. So if you are accepted, you will be put in one of the standard roles. Then later on they will release dates for character performer auditions that you can go to before the program. However keep in mind that these auditions are for character performers in general, so this means there is a high chance you won't be put in a dancer role right away. They do, however, hold auditions randomly throughout the year for cast members for specific shows, parades, etc. (Meaning, you would get a better chance of doing a dance role as a full time cast member rather than a CP.) So for your program, your option would be to go to an audition, but it's most likely that you'll get a regular character performer role. I hope this makes sense!!

    • @TheAardvarkPanda
      @TheAardvarkPanda 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! So you'll go to a dcp audition. Usually CPs are cast as fur characters but I've heard of CPs rarely getting face or parade dancers. The performers in the shows (ex. Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood) usually need to be AGVA (union) so they are not cps. If you specifically want to be a Disney dancer I would try to get hired full time as a dancer by going to specific dancer auditions which you can find on the disney auditions website. Also, whatever role you get placed in for your dcp that will be your only job you can't have another job on the side. :)

    • @debragray384
      @debragray384 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Leeahmsy I. I think you can gain credit depending on your college and their rules. This internship is to give you the oppertunity to meet people who work for disney and decide whether or not you want a disney carrer. This internship also allows you to meet new people and work in an environment where youll have longer hours than your probably used to working. overall it just prepares you for life after college.

    Wierdly ive noticed during my program **Fall Advantage 2017 baby** lol majority of the CPʻs at least who i have met or worked with were either from Hawaiʻi or went to School in Hawaiʻi we were all placed at the Polynesian Village Resort coincidence i dont know but it was pretty cool!? haha i even worked with people who literally went to the same school as i did but that was my experience and maybe one factor on how they place different people in roles/locations! Love your Videos from a former CP Aloha from Hawaiʻi :)

      Any classes you take for your degree has to do with your college (if they offer online or summer classes). Your college advisor also decides if you get college credit for the program itself and any disney classes you might take.
