The fact that the last, most important and most epic chapter of a saga called "Star Wars" takes place 60% of the time in the middle of the forest has always left me disappointed.
I'm really enjoying your channel, so I wanted to thank you for following me on Letterboxd.

As someone who considers Return of the Jedi my favorite Star Wars movie (and a solid contender for my favorite movie of all time) I really enjoyed this video. I can definitely understand all the problems you presented here, but honestly I don’t really mind anything in this movie, or the other two in the original trilogy. To me they’re all perfect. Anyway good video, very nice job.

Its interesting how return of the jedi used to be considered the worst starwars movie lol. I would give anything for starwars to be so good again that a slightly above average movie is considered bad.

Great thoughts about Han Solo. While it's clearly Ford's weakest performance in any Star Wars film, I just can't bring myself to call it bad. Harrison Ford going through the motions is still entertaining, but it's definitely lacking the depth of the previous two entries. However, I don't agree that he should've been killed off. It makes no sense to spend the first third of the movie rescuing him, only to off him in the end. You might as well just have left him in the carbonite! I do concur that a major character probably should've been killed in battle, just to show that real sacrifices had to be made to win the war. Whether it was Leia, Chewie or Lando etc... I don't know, but not Han. Something bad just happened to him at the end of the previous film. You had to go in another direction here.

So if you don't know what happens after the rancor scene, then I can tell you it survived and bonds with the handler, and they both live happier and more on ease because rancors actually is very emotional creatures and it was left in the dark on purpose to let it grow angry.

I thought the return of the jedi reffered to Luke returning to dagobah for training from yoda 😂
