I was on a drive when the album dropped so I was just listening to it when this song came on. I got about 45 seconds in before I pulled over and looked it up to see if there was a music video haha! Best decision ever!
I watched this when it debuted. I has no idea what I was in for, just excited to hear a new song. I was so engrossed in the story and the video that I still recall not even realizing how long the video was. When it finished I was just in awe. I’ve since watched the video and listened to the whole Clouds mixtape many times…but when I come back to this video, I continue to get chills and an adrenaline rush..I’ve never experienced something like this from a music video.
Everything NF does is so cinematic and enthralling... I've been a massive fan of his for years.. I always said if he decides to give up the music... I would love to see him as a director..

Something amazing about this song is that I first listened to it without the video, so the lyrics and his way of singing it are so on point that I could visualize the whole thing in my mind. But then, I watched the video, and it was everything I had pictured and more
I too, with this song, first heard the track then I finally watched the video. What I pictured in my head was on point to what the video showed.. Well done NF & crew!
When he says (or pretty much yells) "here comes another guy!" I get the chills every time! He captures the panic and terror you'd feel in a situation like that so well. It's not easy to go in a recording booth and do this. People don't understand. You have to put yourself there in that moment mentally for it to sound authentic, and NF can do this in a way most artists cannot. His videos are always at LEAST 50% rap/50% cinematic, if not more cinematic than music sometimes! ✌️ His new song will blow your mind btw, it's called Hope.
I love this song, because its not trying to be too large-scale. It's not a story about a perfect hero who's trying to save the world. It's about a relatable burn-out who just happened to be caught up in a life-changing event at a place she's probably been a million times. It's amazing to see her work the courage up to do something, which many people might not have done if in her situation. The way that some things tie together (like the friend's boyfriend), while also intentionally leaving loose ends is really cool, and makes it feel more realistic. The POV shots only help add to that, and this feels like something that anyone could be unfortunate enough to experience.
I also love how she went in to get cigarettes and that's one of the things the robbers were after. And that she considers changing her life, but again and again, she doesn't change (starburst, and that she can't afford to keep buying energy drinks but continues to bc she won't change. That life event hopefully changes her forever.
Great reaction. This video had me mesmerized and engaged from the beginning to end. NF has a line in his music video for "The Search" where he says, "I don't know if I'm making Movies or music videos " genius 👏
NF is great with building layers and telling a awesome story. He not only touches those with his music but other skillsets that play in unison to his passions. Sooo Good.

I'm in my last semester of the university studying televison production assistant and we have to make a last shortfilm as an exam, I just found NF somewhere at the second half of 2022, and just became my favourite. Now I just found your channel and your videos inspires me so much very very grateful for the explanations it helps me understand how a video/film works. I mean I wasn't even watching the video but every single emotion and chill came through perfectly when i first heard, and when the gun ....... and there's that long pause, i literally felt my heart skip more beats.
