The problem with the exterior of the developed house was not simply that it was butt ugly but that it didn't have the grandiosity (multiple pillars and the like) that apparently appeals to the nouveau riche (exemplified by Sarah as footballers' wives).

I have watched a lot of these shows and most even in a bad market make the profit that they want to in the end. There are a few in season 7-8 that come out about even but surprisingly even though Sarah thought the profits expected werent achieveable they made them.
Did anyone do research as far as actual costs of building as well as local market styles and values? The original budgets were questionable, and the designs were not very appealing.
So stupid with the campervan rental.. They could buy the caravan for 2 k max which would be clean and dry , and then sell it with little loss, instead of losing on rental. Second hand caravans in UK are not expensive.. Massive home has hideus design ;/ It looks like apartment block. Making really poor design choices and then counting on the garden to sell it.. Funny

As for the second house… one of the ugliest properties I’ve seen from the outside. No street appeal… that said, a few of the rooms inside were not too bad. No disrespect to the individuals involved but design and creativity are talents… unfortunately they are not held by these people. At the end of the day, they both made profit, so hats off to them!

This show, while completely compelling, is a bit too much of an "I told you so" fest. The uncooperative developers take a hostile attitude toward Sarah rather than collaborating with her, and then her points are proven in the end. A little less chafing and a little more unqualified success would have been better.
They did not get an offer of £1.3 million. That was a total lie. And Snobby Patsy looks like her from Fat Fighters. "Ooh, I couldn't have a washing machine in the kitchen." And wearing white when you're that into pies is not wise, darling.
Over and over in this series I see women being completely unrealistic pushing their own agendas about what they want and how things look and the men caving in. What a shame.
