I am working as a Structural Engineer in the Design team of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project and it feels great to see that the Mumbaikars are excited about this amazing project and gives me immense motivation.
This project is already 1-2 decades behind , atleast start Versova - Kandivili coastal road project fast and take it beyond to Virar asap, when will projects speed up. Also plan a SuperExpressway on current clogged Western Expressway from Bandra to Bhayander with 3-4 entry -exists .
Easy to say. Citizens themselves start protesting when a new project comes up. Bandra versova sea link was stuck in courts for 3 years as citizens said it harms sea life. Slums not ready to vacate land. Apartments not ready to give space.
