Yeah the story in the demo had me bored but the gameplay was fun. Another title that I want to pick up on sale. Same with Forspoken. I thought that the demo was really fun, but isn't worth more than $30.
I did get Immortals of Aveum and Forespoken from this list and I haven't played IOA for a while but I finished Forespoken, it was addictive and since I listened to music while playing I could easily ignore the main character and the band fighting constantly
Sad fact, some of us had gotten the games and were really disappointed. More sad fact, the makers of Layers of Fear are the ones making Silent Hill 2 Remake.
I own like half of them, the only one I'd agree is a blessing to skip is redfall. Its #1 for a reason.. plus, the day before wasn't even mentioned so yeah 100% credibility gaming bolts.
Redfall: Undercooked looter-shooter, may play on Gamespass Immortals of Avenum: Enjoyable, especially on sale. Biomutant: Disappointing, not anything like Ratchet & Clank/Sly Cooper, etc. Talks to me like I'm 5 years old and 1 of the few games I own I haven't beaten, and I've sat through bad games to get my moneys worth. Skull and Bones: Skipped due to not being able to leave ship. Writing was on the wall here Payday: Not into online multiplayer. GTA Trilogy: A lot of people faced bugs. I didn't bar the 3rd deleting my save file. I started using multiple saves. Enjoyed the games bar. The 1st character doesn't talk. I never played the originals due to difficulty as I was new to gaming bar 3. I couldn't even beat the story. Callisto Protocol: Good, but people wanted Deadspace. Now it's not as good but it is good. Anthem, Saints Row, Forspoken & Layers of Fear are still in my backlog, but I own the game Suicide Squad: Not great, but not as bad as some say. Deadshot was fun. Big step down from Batman, but I love Superheros, so I may just be biased here when I say it not that bad. Gotham Knights: Average better than Suicide Squad, needed more boss fights. Battlefield: Skipped due to lack of campaign as don't even bother with the multiplayer don't like multiplayer games Shenmue: Not my type of game. So yes, only games I skipped were Shenmue, Battlefield, Skull and Bones, Payday, and (Redfall for now)
I still get a chuckle out of Az's off the cuff rant. For context, he was several hours into Starfield, apparently still looking for something to get emotionally invested in, only to get smacked with "current-day" material--his term--and he just lost it. It's amusing to watch, whether or not you agree with it. My thinking on that is, if you can make it fit in the game's world organically--Cyberpunk 2077, say--then that's fine. But if it feels tacked on--seriously, Milestone, what the actual Fahrgemeinschaft do pronouns have to do with riding a motorcycle?--then don't do it. Leaving potential sales on the table is bad for business, and if there's a title out there which outsold expectations because of "representative" content, I personally haven't heard of it. But there have been a few high profile examples of audiences being less than enthusiastic about that sort of thing, Saints Row being just one.
Calisto was definitely not as good as it could be. But I wasn’t dumb enough to pay full price for it. My brother did, and I played his, and just recently picked up the deluxe edition for myself at a little over $20. So I’m glad I have it, but I would’ve been let down at full price.
I don't mind people hating on TLOU2 for its story, it's totally understandable, but if you diss the quality of the game, that's just pure bias. It is top tier quality.
Honestly what I’m tired of is everytime they mention Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League they from the people who brought the amazing Arkham trilogy, but everyone who had a hand in making those games left during the creation of this game. So I really wish they would stop saying that and get there facts straight.

I've always been tempted by The Calisto Protocol and Immortals of Aveum but the negative reviews put me off. Tbh I know better. It's a matter of opinion.
I think The Calisto Protocol is a decent game, just short for 60 or 70 USD (but still took me 14 hours to beat it first time). It's not as bad as everyone said And I don't agree about GTA Trilogy remake too, GTA3 remake sucks, because it's the first 3D GTA. But San Andreas and Vice City are very enjoyable, it's way better than original game, such as Remake has checkpoint, GPS Routing, Borderless Fullscreen, 120fps or even higher, better gunplay. It's not the remake we all wanted, but still it's better than original
