Saw him the first time in 1982... I was 18... He played 4 hours straight no breaks for George.... I've seen him 3 more times...... You dance the whole show
his shows are definitely awesome they're one big party and you have a good time each and every time...👍
George is doing a cover version of two John Lee Hooker songs there. It don’t get more authentic blues than John Lee Hooker!
Absolutely. I saw John live in the early 90's. One of the best pure blues musicians ever. Only a true blues lover can appreciate the subtle little riffs that Hooker played, without ever really banging his strings.
Yup, this version is cool and all, but John Lee's is the one!
I had the privilege of playing
"Don't Look Back"
With Mr Hooker.
It was a Portal to the Transcendent, and I knew it.
(Thanks for listening)
I Drink Alone ..... Yeah with nobody else .... Merry Christmas!
Good tune.
🍺🍺
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
George thorogood's best two songs are bad to the bone and I drink alone. The second guitar player in the video Elvin Bishop is a great guitarist however he is mostly known for his 1975 single. Fooled around and fell in Love. That's a good song to react to also just a fun song.
This is actually a medley of "House Rent Blues" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer", two classic boogies originally by John Lee Hooker, which became one of the staples of his live shows. While Thorogood was known for his guitar work, here he let's his guest, Elvin Bishop, take much of the lead work.
Thorogood did both original songs, as well as cover older songs by iconic musicians. One such that I recommend is his version of country legend Hank Williams' "Move It On Over" (which was also the title of his 2nd LP) that is anything but country (but I'm sure Hank would have approved).
By the way, John Lee Hooker and Elvin Bishop are both well worth looking into.
George is from my state Delaware. My brother played on a Babe Ruth teen baseball team with him. George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers.
Wow..that is cool..
I have to say that your reaction to this particular performance is one of the very best I've seen so far. Thank you for doing this one. 🎶🤟🎶
Thank you 😊
@@TheAdventuresofTNT you are more than welcome. I appreciate the fact that I was fortunate enough to come upon your channel, so I definitely had subscribed to you.
tru dat.
Thanks for the reaction. He most known for “ Bad to the Bone” Merry Christmas to all. 🌲✨👏🏽
If you ever have a chance to see him live do it. I went see him a couple years ago at a small venue in New Hampshire. I was blown away by his energy. Great show!
I know.. he still has the same energy that he had 35 years ago when I started seeing him in concert I've seen him 47 times now... he's unreal he's marvelous...
I loved this reaction. George Thorogood “who do you love “ is one of my favorites by him. I think you would love it.
I've been watching reactions for a long while now, and this is the first George Thorogood song! AKA Lonesome George....
I think you would enjoy Move it on Over. Great song by George.
The guy has some catchy as hell blues tunes... Always a fun jam when listening to him.
One of my favourite albums of all time ...great stroytelling. Picked it up in a charity shop in Scotland...just because I loved the band name...then mnths later finally put it on...what a find!

aw...great live version! Saw him live once...guy puts 1,000% into his live shows!
This is one of me and my old mans jams. We always played this first at the bar so you didn't miss any of your other jukebox picks. Good tune. Merry Christmas all!
Yep.. if they had George on the jukebox it was a bar I liked and it would get played right away..👍
"She hollerin' about the front rent, she be lucky to get the back rent.
🎶
*She ain't gonna get none of it!"* 🤣🎸
I follow Lonesome George's advice, "I Drink Alone". 🤣👍👍
All those blues guys are George's heroes.
That is one of the coolest reactions I have ever seen...Great reaction...You rule...
Ah...LONESOME GEORGE.. Glad you enjoyed him.. he's definitely been my favorite since the 80s I've been fortunate enough to see him 47 times in concert he puts on a hell of a show and it's like one big party I love his music... BaBaBaBaBad to the BONE 🦴👍🦴👍
George is a BAD mutha..
“Real blues” = damn right!
More George songs: "It wasn't Me", "Reelin' and Rockin", "The Sky is Crying", "Cocaine Blues"
Checkout George's cover of Who Do You Love?
First George album...Who do you Love... classic 💛👍💛
Elvin's been around forever. He was founding member of Paul Butterfield Blues Band, before his solo career. He's great. Thorogood's great too. Listen to Move on Over or Who Do You Love from his early record (2nd, 3rd one?).
Thank you T.
Lonesome George is blues rock. Most of his work is like this. He was actually extremely successful and is pretty well known. I highly suggest the song who do ya love, but he has lots of great songs. I'm sure you've heard bad to to the bone.
Love his improv of this live version
I feel that I am right there "chair" dancing next to you LOL I love watching your videos.
George Throughlygood is a Master of the Stratocastwr
If this song moved your soul try "Bad to the Bone" one of Thorogood's best
And there's Elvin Bishop! Hi Tasha; Merry Christmas to you and your family!
A song that isn’t so popular by him but a gem y’all should hear is “your good thing” 👌🏻
I love that song...💜
Nice pick Theresa. Merry Christmas.
GREAT REACTION!!!

Merry Christmas!
You guys are great
I love that song.
I like how you were kind of dancing around in your seat. Good reaction.
A favorite with alchoholics everywhere -
First time I heard of Elvin Bishop he was with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. You might want to check them out. Really great reaction. Merry Christmas.
Awesome.
"Bad to the Bone," is fun. Great reaction.👍✌❤🎶🎶🎶
Such a rockin song
Great reaction
This song is from the self-titled debut album by American blues rock band George Thorogood and the Destroyers, released in 1977. Like you said, BLUES Rock.
Nice reaction Miss Tasha .
But unfortunately when I see Mr. Thorogood I will have to tell him my favorite version is still from the legendary bluesman John Lee Hooker from back in the day ( 1966 ) Real talk
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas
Elvin Bishop started playing like that in high school. I know. This is great. You boogying is your reaction.
Elvin is a god on guitar,,and George's band so tight ,
Watch "Movin on over" by George. Big hit in late 70s
You need to hear the studio version too lol....love Thorogood ...check out I drink alone and..You talk too much lol
I love " you talk too much" another classic George song 👍👍👍
Welcome to the old school, young lady.
Bad To The Bone... George Thorogood's most famous song. You need to review and react to it. There's a couple different renditions of it, but the one where he is in a pool hall shooting pool with Bo Diddly is the gold standard. Check it out.
Bad To The Bone (was featured in Terminator 2).
You should listen to the album version once as well, if for no other reason than to just see how much he shook up this live version of the song.
🤣as said in comments bad to the bone and I drink are two of his good ones. I saw him in concert way back when.
that playing by elvin sooo tasty
Check out Lonesome George's..
Bad to the Bone..
🎸🎼🎧❤
N-JOY
Bad to The Bone is a big hit of his and almost everyone has heard it somewhere. I also like "Get a Haircut" buy George. Almost all his songs are Blues and many are fun to watch. Find Live videos as they show his true showmanship and get the Hubby to watch this video.
Love your happiness
She went into that Patreon plug smoother than any other TH-camr I've seen.
Pigboy Crabshaw! What a treat!
Have you heard Bad to the bone ?
You are a very good Chair Dancer.
Haircut would be a fun george thorogood song to react to.
One if George's other influences was Chuck Berry as well
I think you might be ready for Doghouse Boogie, by Seasick Steve!
Dang girl you look good moving to this song.
You said what's always in my head - "how do you not know about this?"
and more to the point, "how do you know about all this mindless crap that DOES get on the radio instead?"
(usually I'm saying it about Nightwish, but Lonesome George here just demonstrates that the problem is even worse than I believe)
I like the way the females react to him. He a bad man.
From an episode of married with children born to be bad by George Thorogood. Not bad to the bone.
"Bad to the Bone" please.
I hope you react to I DRINK ALONE by "Lonesome George" Thorogood!
Yap need to hear "Bad to the Bone"
and also y'all need to check out Stevie Ray Vaughan
If you like country, you like the blues.
The original is good, John Lee Hooker, and also, a great homage to John Lee Hooker

Everybody funny. Now you funny, too.
Check out Mr. John Lee Hooker. The man!
Not taking away from this one but I still like John Lee Hookers' version better. I'm old and old school. ETA: Never mind this is a different version than I've heard before. I like it.
Best money spent on a jukebox....very long play lol
You have got to react 2 anything Stevie Ray Vaughan put out he was a blues master even played with BB King like the sky is crying
He was asked once to describe his music he called it gutter music
Cocaine is a hell of a drug lol. Need the studio version
There are a lot of Blue's great named in this song, but Muddy Waters is the best in my opinion
John Lee Hooker.
Lays this number out. 😊
Great Choice Young Lady.
So I recently learned that people might have the wrong idea of HIM, the band. For some reason people have been thinking about it them in the same group of Behemoth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir ect. Please please help to erradicate this belief, check out HIM, its metal/hard rock, they call it "love metal".
He’s from Delaware covering John Lee Hooker, who’s from Detroit. So, not southern.
