I just started watching and listening to the Palm Village Old Fashioned Community Hymn Sing. I was absolutely amazed at the fantastic musician's that you have. I am so sorry to hear that Stephen Vincent passed away. What a wonderful Christian and musician. I am blessed beyond measure watching and listening to the Hymn Sing. I will miss Stephen but I am also looking forward to seeing and hearing him again in heaven. The ladies playing in this video are wonderful and I can tell that they have many wonderful years as church musicians. God bless you all and please know that you are greatly appreciated.
After watching several of your hymn sings and recalling the fun times we had when we had these in churches where I grew up, and watching Gerald Wolfe's hymn sings here on youtube also, you have inspired me to respond to the people in my current church and start our own hymn sings. Our first venture was very successful, with my wife's helpful ideas for decorations, and other good ideas that she had. We started small with just 66 people but it was a great success and very satisfying for all of us. They left wanting more so we're scheduling a Christmas Carol Hymn Sing and next year, 2019, we are going to start with quarterly hymn sings at our church. We will use a lot of your ideas and others on youtube and hopefully it will grow and involve our sister churches in the area. Thanks so much for the inspiration to give it a try. Listening to your Hymn-sings have been a real inspiration to many in my senior community. We have set up a goal to begin our Hymn-sings every fourth Sunday of each month. What a celebration it will be - that 1st Sunday after the Corona Virus curfew has been lifted.
Hi Ria, I wish Palm Village would continue the program, but they currently don't have a resident volunteer that is willing to make it happen. I have been actively looking for a similar program in the area that I could bring to viewers and am struggling to find one. I am in contact with one of the great piano players that played many times for the Hymn Sing, but she is currently having such painful back problems, she cannot play. Thank you for your comment and encouragement. I would love to go live again with this type of content! Drew

Hi when are you going to start again with hymn singing. We miss you.
