Great explanation with one little inaccuracy. We use RGBW, but the white is there only to add precision and increase ouput when creating white light. The White light is created by mixing RGB together at high output which creates a more saturated white light giving better color depth and separation for digital sensors.

Oh wow. My bad. Anyways, it’s a great light 💡

Nope, it’s an inferior way of getting white light, your light is nice but you guys have sh*t on your nose from your own a**, and answer your customers when you get an email!

Would be intriguing to see how it performs vs the native chip colors of the 300X, as the white of the 300X changes linearly between the 2 white points, whereas the rgbw would be able to shift it back to the planckian locus.

What about the spectral graph? What does that look like, when have you tested yellow? As in yellow on a yellow surface

Nice comparison video, very interesting how it compares to the 300X.
How did you get a set so early? I'm the #4 backer on the crowdfunding campaign for these lights and still waiting.

I know the founder, helping to make it better in term of using experience

Thank you for reviewing this light. Sorry that this video isn’t getting more views. Personally I’ve been looking at HMI because tungsten incandescent, in my opinion, destroys LED lights in terms of natural color rendition and I’m not a fan of Aputure color rendition from what I’ve seen from them thus far. Perhaps the Apollo could work for me. I’d like to see it compared to an incandescent Arri fresnel or similar and to an HMI. I feel like comparing it to Aputure, although helpful, is a low bar. If it could be compared to Rotolight X1/X2 or Arri Sky Panel that would be helpful too but I realize that most of us don’t have access to many of the lights that we might like to have access to. Perhaps you could do a collaboration with other TH-camrs who own these lights and each TH-cam creator could get to see the Apollo, and also each creator could get a video for their channel out of the collaboration. Just an idea. I realize we all have real jobs and responsibilities outside of creating TH-cam content. I also enjoyed your GH6 review. I hope to learn more about the Apollo in the future. You’re creating good content and I hope you’ll continue to do so. I’m also curious if the Apollo does well with all sensors from iPhone up through Arri. It wouldn’t make much sense for a filmmaker to spend a lot on a light that only does well with a camera sensor that that they don’t personally own. Thank you for making really helpful videos! 👍👏

Interesting video. I opted for RGBACL lights recently, but I will try to give this one a try when it comes out.
(Incidently, I have seen the flag on your Instagram page and, although I have been following you for quite a while now, I couldn't have imagined that your sympathies could have gone to the likes of Azov (or even worse Aidar) battalions :-(

Hi! Thanks. RGBACL sounds like a very cool light. Didnt get to test it yet thoroughly

I have. Cool lights, although the Fresnel is not so good for me. Cannot wait to test the zoom lens dedo built in collaboration with them. (I like to hard, kind of directional lighting. Old school. Mole Richardson Baby tungsten was my Hollywood dream light for faces).
