Im 64...been playing guitar since i was 16......i play this song also......I want to say out of ALLLLLL the video lessons i have examined on this song i MUST say yours is 110% the best..Your teaching method,,,EVERYTHING...CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING THE BEST..SALUTE FROM CHICAGO....🍻
You are among the greatest guitar teachers ever. You have taught me how to sing and play at the same time. I never thouht that was possible. Thank you very very much.
singing over the top of the long part of that riff is challenging, I like Robs tutorials not only for his teaching style but he includes the singing and usually the whole song, Thank Rob
Great lesson. I had learned this song years ago and forgotten the chord progression to the bridge. A couple of things I do differently though: On beat 2 of the main riff you pluck the G# note on the E string. When I listen to the recording I hear him doing a quick slide from the 3rd to 4th fret (G to G#). I was also taught to use all downstrokes for the riff but I really can't say why that is how they taught me but I think it sounds more even when I do. Also I wasn't playing the C7 as the last bar on the first half of the bridge. I was doing 2 bars of Cmaj and the Cmaj to C7 sounds a lot better. Another thing is strumming pattern. I strummed DDUDUDU and the DDUUDU you teach sounds more like the way Roy Orbison played it. Thanks for getting me through another one.
@@swiftlessons thank you for the videos. Your the best one on you- tube that i have tried to watch and i so glad i came across your channel. Good singing voice as well my friend. Thank you again.
Hi Rob. Hello from Phil in Hull England. Absolutely Brilliant guitar lesson! As with all your lessons. You break it down so well and make it achievable for everyone to play and actually sing along! And so enjoyable it's hard to put my guitar down! Thank you keep up the great work. Got to be the best teacher out there.
Good lesson, thank you. There used to be some great Philly steak sandwich shops around the Navy base at the end of E Broad Street back in 1972, I was in the Marine Corps station d there. I lived on those sandwiches and sweet potato french fries,,,the shops I liked served the steak n cheese on Lebanese bread rolls with grilled pepperoncini, fresh grilled mushrooms, grilled onion, provolone, mozzarella, cheddar or cheese whiz. I miss those sandwiches.?.😮😊❤
Another great lesson! Whenever I want to learn a new song, I search swiftlessons first! And if you do requests, I'd love to see you do a lesson for Uriah Heep's the Wizard
