At 0:52 This is Canadian legend Ted Hogan. Was the man to beat during the late 1950's and early sixties. Right after him is the #38 of Jim Howard who was also a Canadian superstar. Howard built the first rear engine Super Modified to win a race (a heat race) at the famed Oswego Speedway.

Love Em, Keep Em Coming MMC👍. NEAR Quartz Mtn Oklahoma had a dirt track for Yrs. Someone took it out around early 1990's. That was a bummer.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my years of racing. I miss it everyday. Racing is a way of life. I got in it at a perfect time, and got out the same....'78-'04.

I think the car at .13 is one of those MOPAR Kit Cars! In the late 70’s (I think) Mopar did the almost unbelievable thing of offering kits to build a complete race car including everything right down to the roll cage tubing! Like the worlds biggest model car kits, the purchaser had to assemble everything, engine included, and there were several options on things like the engines! You could walk in your local Dodge/Chrysler dealers parts department and order yourself a stock car, some assembly required! The understatement of the century! Ha! Thanks for another good one!

$10,000 kit and you could go to your local track and win! Great times!

I don't know where you found all the pictures, but I surely
appreciate you sharing them with us.
I look forward to each new volume...this is stuff nobody has ever seen before, unless you are the families of the racer.

    And did you win Gramps?
"Yeah, a couple of times before I wrecked her"

So cool when race cars were CARS - knock the glass out, strip the interior, weld in a roll bar, and we’ll see you on Saturday night…..🏁
