With neighbours ending I'm checking old school clips and episodes. Just come back to home and away too. Takes me back to the mid 90s, on a Tuesday I'd finish school, head to my dad's for dinner, and we'd sit watching neighbours, this and heartbreak high. 😑
It was a different era.watching any old shows brings home some memories.I find the odd Sweet Valley High or Ready or Not episode as well plus these from the 90s a lot more enjoyable than new stuff.
he's trying to protect the reputation of his staff. All you need is someone to say one thing and that could ruin the guy's reputation and career. I've been in the Fisher's position and you have to be firm with rules. What he should have done is advise the teacher on what to say to the student that didn't reveal anything she didn't need to know.
God I remember when Debra Lawrance replaced Vanessa Downing as Pippa It just didn't feel right for a while but after a while she became the Pippa we all remember a much better actress.
Not quite, these days they feel the need to discuss their student's sexual preferences, preferred gender pronouns and hand out literature about exploring gender reversal therapy, all before they've even reached the age of informed consent let alone sexual maturity. What was that you said about 'principles' and modern day teachers?
I’m fascinated by the piece of music you’ve used during the outro - sounds like the theme tune but without the vocal track. Do you know if it’s available anywhere? Thanks for your great channel btw!
@@SummerBayJournal No worries, thanks for replying! Yes it is excellent - I have been looking everywhere for some decent sheet music for the theme, but only really the instrumental track/chords. Sorry to ask again but did you copy the chords by ear, or did you have access to sheet music from somewhere?
Actually Don is right. I disagree with others. The teacher would be the first to be blamed if a girl or her friends were put in a compromising position. They have to protect themselves. It’s not just Shannon, her friends may also think it’s ok to be alone with Steven if Shannon is and that can open a can of worms.
Don may "happen" to be right but his motives were not coming from that place, they were coming from a personal vendetta and that's the issue. It's all about context.
@@SummerBayJournal you could argue that his motives were bad but what happens if he was actually doing Steven a favour especially if he is embarking on a career as a teacher? Just my opinion.
I can't believe that Fisher used his position to let loose his frustration on Shannon. It was unfair to both Shannon and Stephen. They're practically related. Pippa served him right.
Normally stuff like this was really well done in the old days but I have to say, that exchange between Donald and Pippa was badly written and poorly acted
Either Don was not a very big man or Stevo was secretly the Jolly Green Giant! He was also right to be wary about the door being closed but it's not that female beginning with 'S' he needs to be worry about being alone with Mr. Matheson! Go, Pip. Don shouldn't be bringing personal stuff into the school. Lucky, Pip hadn't gone upside his head to the department who most likely given him a word of caution. "Get a life" is what Vannesa's Pippa would said a few years earlier, or something stronger.
I actually always thought Debra Pippa was more harder then Vanessa Pippa . Meanest thing Vanessa Pippa ever said was shut up to Celia when she was judging Martin.
I saw Pippa on a plane from Shanghai to Melbourne yesterday.
Did you have a chat with her?🌍✈️
I love these classic episodes!❤️❤️👍🏻. Thanks for posting.
Norman Coburn played Don Fisher brilliantly.

Yep,, 80s 90s 00s was a great era...The world went crazy different around 2012..
This was fisher being completly unfair and holding a grudge against shannon because of the shane situation , good on Pippa putting him in his place

Fisher's face after being served by Pippa. Classic.
Isla Fisher hasn't changed
She really hasn't!
She's delightful 🎉
I remember this, great moment.
Go Pippa!

I think he was right to say keep it professional
Wow!!! Take that Flathead!!
I adore Isla, and loved the Mandy/Shannon storyline :)
Well done Pippa.
Well if it isn't me old mate Stevo 😮
Funny though because it’s the same principle that teachers have now for students.

I'm afraid not, it's specially composed for the channel, it's just the segment you hear 👂🏼glad you like it

Agreed, it was actually very rare to see Debra's Pippa, by this point, say such a thing.
