Awesome ! It's very rare to have such a clear view of the fingers at work, it's a marvel for amateur pianists like me, and we can even see the pedals by looking inside the piano. I was at your concert in La Roque D'anthéron last year, it brings back a great memory. It would be even greater if you could film pieces you played recently which are not on your new cd (the Chopin's second sonata you cancelled there ? would love to hear that).

It is there casually. It has been carefully studied and incredibly learnt by heart, mastered and perfectly played by this miraculous piano playing living computer which I think this young man is.

You're such a huge talent and actually one of the very few pianists who is able to make me cry when listening to your performances. The upper register notes were ever so slightly dimmer, as if there were several pieces of stacked paper sort of over them....😉 Imma be honest, I'm not crazy about Liszt. I am, however, crazy about this piano playing. What an absolute joy and breathtaking artistry!!!❤️❤️❤️💐💐💐
Actually I didn't like it. I don't like the dynamics and technique in some parts of the piece. In the climax he started to rush. And he is not playing what is written in the sheet paper when the main part of the beginning starts. 6/10

Most likely because it was pressing against one or more keys, preventing them from rising when released. Like anything made of wood, it changes shape slightly in response to changes in temperature and humidity. A well-known Steinway technician who did some work for me recommended that I insert pieces of a matchbook cover under both ends of the key slip to alleviate this problem.
Great observation! Many musicians play a piece in a few different settings and put them together, when they do a studio recording. Obviously, the engineer who put this together wasn't detail-oriented, and neither Grosvenor. But he is still an exceptional pianist.
He is clearly a phenomenal pianist. I am puzzled by the fact that the audio seems perfectly synced on both takes, which makes me wonder if the audio is also a mashup of multiple takes... I don't mean to criticize Grosvenor in any way at all. I've listened to as many of his recordings as I can find. He is truly exceptional and I look forward to his future career.
I'm guessing the audio must be a mashup of multiple takes, though I'm not absolutely sure. I have a TH-cam musician friend who does magic with his multiple audios, it's mind-blowing what modern recording technique can do. I also look forward to Grosvenor's future career.

Nobody, or very few like you and me, seems to care about the most important component in music, that is the AUTHOR, who gives birth to everything, who provides the idea, the material for all the others to work on. But that's the way it goes in this more and more and more messy world of ours.
It's very clear just under the titles that it is Liszt. I don't find composers often miss out on credits. I do find that orchestras regularly do, and that annoys me.

Why not? Hough does! Ogden did as well as Osborne and McCawley, McGregor and many many others! He's fabulous, but they are pretty damn good as well!
