My question is: if someone has VSG and they successfully make the lifestyle changes and stick to a healthy balanced diet exercise and are truly not overeating they’ll still gain wt?
No. Weight regain happens when you start to slide down the slippery slope of return to old habits. Your sleeve is always there, and you will always have a restriction. But, over time, you can learn to eat around your restriction with liquid calories, slider foods, and grazing. If you can hold the line on your calorie intake/expenditure, you'll maintain your weight loss.
Thank you for this information. I'm a bariatric patient from the UK. I had a sleeve 16 months ago. I want to know more to ensure future success.
This is excellent information. Thank you!
