She wasn't the Ambassador for Australia in high school, she went to SA as a youth ambassador after high school during her gap year. This is some type of program you sign up for and they select so many applicants to go over in a group to learn about another countries culture. These types of programs are available for young adults in many countries. Many students travel to other countries during their gap year. Everything she talked about was believable You either did not pay attention or have really poor listening skills.
