Spice is 1000% right, I am Jamaican and this is how the society, culture, class of citizen's makes down to the child develop self esteem issue's; which he or she takes into adult life and how he or she thinks because it is what was implanted (the bad seeds) in them.
I visit and I see how social media has brain washed these youth's (girls, boys, men, and women) to think that if you are clear skin, the white the better, one would be accepted, get a better paying job/ promotion, even a better husband or wife. Stupid mind frame of thinking, when these off springs will be dark skin tone, I even witnessed a child mother, bleaching the baby skin to be much lighter than the black skin tone.
In USA society, African society (on all its Continent's) both women and men are bleaching their skin's to be accepted, feel better of themselves.
So Spice did good on using her platform to spread awareness. I heard the shade Ms Spice, lol. Now your record company, VP, either pull for your success or let you out of your contract (K) with them. If they're not wiling to push your music and release songs, not just in the island's, ja, but more so in the USA, Europe, % other countries. I went to Italy and reggae music is a stable there, one wouldn't believe how Jamaica reggae music and its Artist's are dynamic and a winner world wide.
This is why I kept and continued to say that Jamaican, the people, the musician's, the government reps, etc stop selling out vital resources that are and is important to the growth and development of the country economy.
Even all the airports are own by another country, Mexico; while other resources like toll roads are own and controlled by China, lands, bauxites, food mills, farm lands are own by other Caribbean islands, bought out by USA, Mexico, China and other European countries.
When will Jamaica and Jamaican's stop looking at the quick fix and quick funds. But overtime invest and make Jamaica independent, rather dependent on other countries and their hand out for pity that comes at a cost and price against Jamaica citizens, future generations, delegates and government agencies and leaders, who are the biggest set back to Jamaican infrastructure and better economic, better people, better health of food intake...

Not everyone bleach to look light, some ppl have really good bad scars and can only be corrected with bleach however there are those who do to look light and as such parents should explain to their children the different reasons why ppl use lighteners, and let it be clear they should feel confident about themselves enough that they don't have to do anything to enhance themselves, but if they can't live with a certain flaw, I repeat if they find it impossible to go through life with certain flaws then there are products designed to help.
