Wow! All over the internet and here in TH-cam can I find anything better on this Transit System Thanks CTA and may y'all continue to thrive with y'all Corporation!
Thank you for taking me on a virtual journey. Now I lookedall the videos of the "L" lines and I'm so excited. Now I would like to come to Chicago. Maybe one day.
In most senses the CTA beats NYC's transit authority's train system, but at least Chicago's Red and Blue lines have the severe drawback that the elevated platform edges aren't marked.
if I come from New Lenox to the lasalle station where do I go to get on the blue line? plz don't use north or south directions but give the street or intersection of. thx!

wonderful. Always love seeing cab rides from Rapid Transit systems in various cities.

Chicago's transit system is superb but man, that train is NOISY!!!
we love the noise
If you call *this* noisy, you would get a heart attack or stroke listening to NYC's transit authority's trains.
@@ZviJ1As a New Yorker, I can confirm these lines are loud as hell.
You will get hearing damage without ear protection.
I always take the blue line when I go downtown. It's very convenient
This is the cleanest subway tunnels . How come NY can't be this clean
Incredible city! I like how they include info about the closed stations too.
Watch New York copy this idea now about posting transit videos like this
PRHILL9696
I think they already did 😂 unoriginal fucks
@@thestrangeman069 It figures
This is s cool! Thank You.

thank you for this video, it´s going to help me a lot.
very nice video ,greetings from Greece
Sound is not synchronized with the picture.

They made it time lapse at 8:56 while at cumberland
They did that at all stations so we don't have to wait 3 minutes
Is it me, or does the audio not match the video?
I would love to see have this route or the Red line on Train simulator or TSW
What is the speed limit on this highway/freeway? Looks pretty fast to me 🐨🇦🇺.
55 mph is the speed limit but most do 60-65 mph
i love it
Why is it that CTA hasn't put any of the new train cars with the light-up LED signs on the blue line?
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/7000_series_(CTA)
Yeah right now the 3200 and 5000-series cars both have LEDs and they are now on the Blue line
SICK
The sound is quite a bit off in this video, compared to the other real-time videos.
I agree Ben. They need to re edit this one. The rest of the videos are fine.
+Ben Prusia, I always play music when I watch these.

Why are there stations that are still there, after being closed over 40 years ago?
how fast this cta blue line can go
Wikipedia says 55 mph.
why does the train not have a pantograph? is it an electric train?
It’s powered by third rail which is collected by a shoe next to the trains wheels.
is central the only stop that's closed or there's more
Karolina Lachut there's more
Kostner is the other station that's closed the Pink line is the only line that uses Kostner on the Douglas branch
And Racine on green line and California FP on blue
Nice video........the train can definitely use a nice tall glass of WD-40 😬
if I come from New Lenox to the lasalle station where do I go to get on the blue line? plz don't use north or south directions but give the street or intersection of. thx!
The station is at the corner of LaSalle and Congress Parkway; right outside the Metra Station. There should be signs directing you.

Nomadic Cheese next stop is forest park.
Why is the Rosemont in the middle of a busy highway? I do not see any place for the passengers to go. Where are they supposed to go?
The station and the expressway are above street level (Mannheim Road), and the escalators up/down are at the end of the station. Rosemont is the stop for many convention centers, theaters, meeting places, and hotels for brief stopovers by airline O-Hare travelers.
But now it's Rusty
Looks like a clean, well-kept system, but the average rate of speed is S-L-O-W!
Since the Blue Line doesn't go to 54th/Cermak anymore, why even bother keeping the ramp? Just take it down.
+protectorofillinois3 I hope they use it again someday myself
And besides, it would be very expensive, complicated, and time-consuming to remove it without disrupting service on the Blue and Pink Lines.
and they still use the ramp for passengers at times like I got to ride it again last spring!
The ramp is also used for out of service trains that need maintenance
Without it the Blue Line would be completely isolated from the rest of the system.
As far as speed goes, certainly not Rapid transit.
It’s not supposed to be rapid transit, people use the Metra for that.
55 mph
Video and audio don't match
Great vid, but worst for audio sync, terrible. Certain time the audio would b rapid and the train would be nearly stopped and then when the train would be running quickly, the audio sounded like it was coming into a station.
This line should run from O’Hare to Midway instead.
pretty pathetic when the train is slower than the cars on the road next to it. Not going to get anyone to take the train over the car that way
Except that The blue line has a daily ridership of 65k
This one isn't very exciting, being almost entirely underground or in highway medians.
For some reason i like it
