To getting hit in this fight is intentional, because the wooden sword will do more damage when Ryu under low health, so basically you can take this as a “no damage" fight.
Very nice. I have never actually beaten him in this fight, i always choke and get hit by the one shot move. They really should have animated a different cutscene for when you do beat him lol
It was intentional. Like uploader commented, the wooden sword deals more damage at low HP. You could argue that he could have gone down to low HP before the fight, but as he made no attempts to attack the boss before gaining damage boost, it’s all the same imo

Why does it say no damage but the player clearly gets hit? Are you excluding the AoE?
