  • My Whirlpool Dishwasher One Year Review. After one year of using a Whirlpool dishwasher I discuss my experiences both pros and cons with this particular unit. I discuss which cycles clean the best in which cycles are the most efficient as well as time consuming. I even go into which detergents are the best for this particular dishwasher. Folks, I think we're going backwards, not forwards with dishwasher design.
    I have just purchased this exact model of Whirlpool dishwasher to replace a two year Frigidaire that failed (bad timer board), that replaced a two year old Samsung with a failed motor that ruined the ceiling and flooded the unit below. My other home has a 22 year old Kitchenaide that washes and dries dishes in 40 minutes on normal mode. They come out spotless every time. Oh, it has a soft food disposer and I seldom need to check to filter.

      The difference is efficiency. Less water, less electricity, so we get longer cycle times and slightly damp dishes. There's gotta be a better middle ground.

      @@laethe230 no, the difference is they want to make more money and if all manufacturers make junk you have no choice but to keep buying junk and act like its normal..

    Hey does this vent steam out the side door vent that can potentially wreck wood cabinets? Thanks

    I just ordered this model but might not of knowing that it takes 3 to 4 hours to do a thorough clean??? Our last one, a Maytag, took just over an hour. Also, what hoses or attachments should I expect to get? TIA

      Just curious. Do you sit there and wait for the dishes to be washed?

      My Bosch that I replaced took 2 hours. This one takes almost 4 hours. Argh.

    What model is this?

  • @trwent
    @trwent ปีที่แล้ว

    At 2:16, you said “3 minutes, 35 seconds”. Now THAT is FAST!!
    Also, when you were talking about the “Normal” setting, you left the CYCLE setting on “Sensor”, so we could not see the expected time for “Normal”!!

    Lowes site indicates that the color is Metallic Steel vs Stainless Steel. Can you comment on this? Considering this dishwasher but want to make sure the color matches my other Whirlpool appliances that are Stainless Steel finish.

      for one thing, whirlpool used to feature the taller capacity. I loved it and miss it. For another, they used to have the silverware basket in the door which was great. Plus heated dry/sani-dry. The quiet IV was the name. Now i'm living with a kitchenaid-oops-whirlpool bought them too.. I miss my old Whirlpool room.

      real brand names are a thing of the past. Made in the same cheap place with a brand name tacked on. Cheap everything except the PRICE.
