I live 15 minutes from where they were from. Florida punk rock history!!! So much love for this EP. You can buy the repress and it comes with a full size poster. I got mine a couple of weeks ago from a distro out of NYC.
This showed up I guess because of my incessant streaming of Johnny Thunders and Gun Club material. I love it!! TYSM freakin rad! Part of my regular list these days
Found this one in a shop 15+ years ago for $10, still in the shrinkwrap. Wherever it came from originally, it had a mere dollar price sticker before it was priced for me. Oh how times change.
Thanks much for spreading this around the net. Please upload the previously mentioned live soundboard recordings you have of this incredible and sadly lesser known bands.
Hey! the links for the mp3 are dead and in bandcamp they don't sell it which is weird since they have the EP listed, Can your re-upload the mp3's please?
CHECK OUT CHIN CHIN! If you are listening to this right now, and loving it as much as me, check out the the swiss all-girl band Chin Chin! I clicked on them and the algo led me to this band. So many groups out there who had more talent than the ramones but not the right connections... Happy Listening!
Lisa Nash was Johnny Depp's girlfriend back when he played guitar for The Kids (Florida). I think this is just an average record. "Violent Days" is the best cut and even that one doesn't hold up with the classic female fronted Punk acts. "I Can't Help It" was originally a song by The Reactions. Bass player Gary Sunshine went later to play with Circus Of Power and NY Loose.
Lost Cherrees, Negative Outlook, La Misma, Sad Boys, Question, A-Heads, Litige, Petite, Burning Kitchen, Mortar Blast, Whorehouse of Representatives, East Coast Panic, Menstrual Tramps, the Nervous,Torso, Cervix, Detestation, Rubble, Obliterated, Silminnakija, Thretning verse, APPLE, Generation Suicida, Spider Cunts, Action Pact, the Expelled, Poison Girls. I'd say thats a good start at least

Whats on the poster
I love finding lost gems like this on you tube, amazing, amazing ep.
found this band's name painted on my old leather jacket when i grabbed it from my parents' house lol, holy fuck this brings back memories
i think this is what pop punk should be.. the true definition of pop punk
Right if the zeroes and this band were the architect for pop punk wed be great off. Perhaps dookie would still have been produced not much else
That sound is amazing and hooks are top notch along with the melodies and harmonies. Guitar sound is fabulous.

Violent Days is infectious pop-punk. So catchy. In another world it is just as well-loved as Blitzkrieg Bop.
No shit! That song just RULES!

@@emilioaymat5651 The original, not the repress. Do you think I'd waste time posting about finding a repress?
aside from how much this little record is worth....which is A LOT....its actually a really good listen from start to finish.
In which
No
Lisa Nash can SING, man!
Saw em in a club in Hollywood Fla in ‘80 ! Thanks for sharing!
I was surprised to learn this was an American band! They have a distinct British sound! ("Grin & bear" even has a reference to "Soho"!)
I saw them at the Agora Ballroom in Hollywood FL. In 1980 and 1981. I loved them especially their cover of Mony Mony
LOVE IT or hate it BUT I STILL LOVE IT, PUNK & NEW WAVE TUNES KEEP ME YOUNG IN HEART 👍
52, and couldn't agree more. Cheers!🍺
@@AA-bh3bz Damn.. That's rough.
Here because Corey Duffel recommended it on his Instagram yesterday. It's excellent!

I just want to thank Mike Virus for turning me on to this EP years ago on myspace.

And “out of luck” by the pointed sticks. I wish I had that list, I think guttersnipes and maybe the adverts were on there as well.
Yep, would be really great if you post your Live stuff from Screaming Sneakers :)
Been coming here for years now and still dont know any more about them then the day i found this.
I had that zip of you LOOOOONG ago. That was the begining of the mp3 era. Thanks mate!!

Great stuff, the right measure of pop and punk
.....it also does have bit of a "post--punk" sound

"I Can't Help It" should have been a hit, maybe in an alternate universe? Original by The Reactions is just as good.
Группа безумно клевая👍альбом замечательный🤘🤘🤘мне очень дико понравился!!!!здороро и потрясающе....

Correction: Bud Gangemi (RIP) played Bass, and Gary Sunshine played guitar. Depp was Lisa's boy toy for a bit. He was a shy, quiet kid at the time.
hell ya
Gracias
thanks for finding and posting

That dude looks like Sid vicious mixed with Dave Grohl
More like Jerry Seinfeld.

The face eventually keeps looking like Dave with the same hairstyle Sid Vicious had
