Sequoyah Trueblood is the most extraordinary human being I have ever met. I had the opportunity to speak with him three different times for several hours at a time while he was here in Santa Fe, NM, teaching. Our conversations focused on his experiences with the Kogi Indians and what the Kogi had to say. I was very grateful that he took the time to share so much about his life with me.

I had no idea but a few hours ago I met this man in the darker hours of the evening. He told me about himself and it was quite an amazing story. He said “there must be a reason why we met tonight”. I had no idea he was such a known and amazing person. I hope I get the chance to meet him again.

I was fortunate enough to work at cross river wilderness center, and spent 3 summers with him. Although he always plucked my cherry tomatoes off my deck, lol
