My mum was Irish and came from Enniscorthy. Back in the late 60's and 70's. I remember going to the local pub down near the Slaney River .My parents said it was Jim Keoghs (Don't know if this is true though). If anyone knows and could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks. Happy memories there and in the bog, curracloe, vinegar Hill. Me and my sister use to roll down there when we was young. God iam 64 now. Still remember it like yesterday!
@Scalder1798 Thank-you for that. Remember sitting in there with me cheese &onion crisps and me bottle of coke! Great memories. My gran use to live at Drumgold villas I think that was it. Use to go out with my sister and grandad in the donkey & cart and go strawberry & raspberry picking in the summer.
My grandmother born in 1921 came from here, her father was a baker, but he died when she was 14, aged 15 my grandmother was sent to England to work as a nanny for a doctor because the family fell into poverty, all her money was sent home, she met my Scottish grandfather and married, I have beautiful stories of her childhood, and some quite sad... but her memories of her childhood were good, and she was a wonderfully kind lady, I miss her very much, and because of her funny nature and kind nature I am so proud of my Irish roots.

Very interesting video of Enniscorthy some years ago, I am sure that things have changed a lot like they have everywhere else. Tara looked like a very smart woman, I hope that she fulfilled her dream and did very well and came back to visit her family many times during the following years. The barber was well up on the happening in the area and times, Enniscorthy looked to a busy place with a lot of good business going on
I posted this on facebook only to have it taken down as they said it was against their rules i really don't understand why' anyone can tell me why they would do this?

Thanks for this. I’m visiting Enniscorthy atm because my family are here. My father, Danny O’Leary, was from Killane.
