- 0SS Thistlegorm British armed Navy ship built in 1940. Was sunk on 6 October 1941 near Ras Muhammad in the Red Sea. Its my Diving trip to this amazing historical underwater museum.

I went to Egypt in 2011 to dive , did it in Sharm El Sheikh, Jackson reef was the best dive I ever did !

@@SAMen07 We have a large patch of coral reef that you can dive however you want I am sure it will fascinate you
government of Egypt should protect red sea better. Right now locals and tourists destroy flora and fauna year by year and there's no solution to recover it. I think police should punish locals and tourists harder!

Flying to Sharm tonight will be diving the Thistlgorm next week.been told need a visa to dive the Thistlgorm but have already dived Yolander and shark reef along with a few other sites first time to Thistlgorm

The remnant part of the locomotive is a forward section of a ""Stanier 8F" from the LMS company. Many were built for the British War Department and shipped overseas during WW2 and some remained until recently in Turkey, Iraq and Greece. It was Sony x3000 and gopro7pro. Now I prefer Canon RP+ L50mm in housing :)
Can you tell me the depth of this dive? Looking to go here next year and my son (12-years old) is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver and is limited to about 15 meters
this is not very deep dive, main time you will spend on depth 20-25m. But for 12 years old boy it could be too difficult because of allot of dark and small rooms. Also perfect neutral buoyancy is required for all divers. Otherwise it would be not fun but torture.
How many dives do you personally have? and what is your certificate?
Anton Siabro I have 400+ dives and Advanced Open Water and PADI Cavern Diver Certification. My son has about 65 dives.
@TH-cam Community Guidelines we did not do this dive, but instead did some reefs in Hurghada. Some of the best dives I’ve had. Loved Egypt!

Yes, it is possible to take day tour from Sharm. But it also possible to go from Hurgada.
Also many dive safari include this spot as must-have.
