I've worked consistently with a mobile app called "Complete Rhythm Trainer" over the past year, and it's really improved my sightreading skills (which were already pretty developed, as a former bass clef music major). My 6th-grade percussionist daughter has been working with it lately as well, using a midi drum pad. Mobile apps have really opened up a whole new world in music self-education and training.
