I get why every single deck you're passing on is leaving. I have a large collection too so when there are decks you love for whatever reasons there's no point in keeping the ones you never touch. And I also like the mass market card stock better than the indie versions😁

So good to let go of things that hold space in the stagnant places.. I have felt a deeper connection to all of my decks as I do the same and feel it sweet to pass along the one’s that are no longer meant for me with appreciation of what they did for me. I recently re-homed The Buddha deck from Robert Place.. which I loved but just didn’t use or connect with. The person that found it listed said she had been looking for a very long time for it and it was her birthday present to herself. It felt sssOOOooo good to make this happen 💜

NICE! Oh man that huge clearout must feel amazing! I always feel like I can appreciate the ones I love so much more when there are fewer other decks in the way, looking up at me with puppy eyes because I haven't used them in ages. xx

I definitely understand why you are doing this. I have been slowly gifting decks to friends and family that I no longer use in the last year or so. About 30 or so decks have been rehomed, and it feels good when others are getting use out of something I am not. I like to utilize my collection also. Thank you for sharing beautiful lady. 💖

I think sometimes they are just meant to be with us for a little while and then it's time for them to move on. And some, I think I just wasn't really meant to have in the first place because I never touch them lol. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
Honestly, the one I was most surprised with was the Everyday Witch Tarot, hahaha. Everyone I know seems to like and/or love it so much that it is ranked very high amongst favorite decks, hahaha.

I also have a large deck collection and when I moved house I passed on 6 decks, my reason for passing them on is not not using them, it's more decks that I just can't connect and vibe with. In my case I see no point in keeping decks I have no love or connection for (: I do have decks I don't use but I love them and I shall be keeping them! (:
I would love to hear more about decks you love for creativity/prefer over The Muse deck. I’m currently trying to find decks to work with for this reason and am struggling

I love the way you modified the Wild Unknown Archetypes deck! I really like that deck because it's the only round and only archetype deck I own, but I have a hard time with the size of it, and the mod you did is amazing. I'm definitely going to have to give my deck a similar mod at some point. Seriously love the way yours came out.

I love how the archetypes deck turned out! I don’t do well with circle decks either, and ended up selling my archetypes deck for that reason. Never thought to alter it that way though, and I may have kept it off I had...

The Majestic Earth is GORGEOUS!! OMG where has that deck been all my life! 😍 (To answer your question from the end I haven't moved any decks along because I'm a brand new reader so I only have a couple right now.)

When I saw the title of the video I expected to see the Dark Wood in there too! Perhaps it's in the other 65, or perhaps it's finally found its way to your heart. I had to let go of mine after much debating. I'm also going through a major culling and the most surprising one for me to let go of was the Healing Waves! It's not been re-homed yet but it's in the pile. .....maybe I'll change my mind!!!

I agree with you on Majestic Earth. It's too remote for me. I can't make any connection with it. I could easily purge 75 decks out of my huge collection. I know I will when I'm ready. I'm really slowing down this year, last year was pretty overwhelming with collecting. I need to be really wowed to make any purchased this year.

Majestic Earth Tarot is my main deck. I am so attached to it that I bought a 2nd deck in case something happens to it. However, I am the only person I know who works with it and every person I’ve seen review it says it’s very difficult to work with. Hopefully yours finds a fantastic new home!

I have that deck as well and I understood the getting lost feeling. So far haven't had particular issues other than remembering the court names, that's the most difficult part to me. My guess is the more I use it I'll retain it better! I think what will end up happening with my copy is that it'll give the main lines and then get clarification with another deck. There were a few in a group I'm in that hopped on that discounted sale too, like me! haha

I work with mine all the time, it's one of my top 3 decks! I use it for all kinds of readings but I totally understand why it isn't everybody's bag! I was a landscaper and I also worked out in the woods for many years and I think this why it is such a meaningful deck for me 🌲🌳🌲🌳

I never heard about that Majestic Earth Tarot, now only to find out it's out of print. 😭 I really, *really* hope I catch it when you post it to sell. If I don't get it, I'll know it wasn't meant to be, and blessings to wherever gets it, but dang those cards have captured my soul!!! 😍😍😍
It wasn't a very big print run so I don't think there are a ton of them out there. Maybe someday they creator will do another run of it, seems a lot of people are still looking for it. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
Hi, there are some left in stock on Aello Publishing (their website) but you need to get one of the factory second printings. I searched this deck for a while and was able to snag a copy!
great video! i was definitely surprised to see the darkness of light on the list. i understand what you mean by the majestic earth tarot feeling too expansive; i love it and connect with it but i can still feel a bit of intimidation when i'm pulling it out to work with it. and oh my goodness, i've been wanting the wild unknown archetypes deck so badly but don't want to put the effort into modding it haha so i will be on the lookout to hopefully get that from you! 🤞🤞

Same, hope you get it tho 😁💖 i have new decks I'm still learning and have heard it's heavy when you get into the book. a lot of ppl seem to only pull a card for the week or month even. I don't tend to do that🤷
@@DawnMichelleTarot yeah I've seen way cheaper i assume to be knockoffs of, that the cards are smaller. 99% i wouldn't buy one, and am genuinely embarrassed that i purchased some without knowing when i first started, BUT sometimes they're just more functional😕
@@ox-micha-xo ah thanks, i hope so too! it's one of those decks that i intend not to learn too much about before getting it, so it's interesting you say that. i certainly wouldn't mind pulling one card a week or a month. i have other decks that feel quite expansive/deep that i only use when i'm ready for that energy. if anything that really excites me. i like when each deck has their unique timing and function.

I just bought that one. At first I didn’t think I’d use it but it really fit my style of creativity so it lives in my studio.
You have me thinking. I have a few decks I bought purely for collecting. One is a totally unopened Bonestone still in the box with the shrink wrap around it. I keep thinking I’m just gonna open it and enjoy it. Your right what’s the point if you don’t enjoy a deck…🤷🏼♀️

Everyday Witch was the first deck I read intuitively, so it has a special place in my collection. I can see how you would use Green Witch over it, though. Because I have such a strong connection with EW I haven’t picked up GW as I feel like you I’d favor the one I’m most familiar with over the other.

It's a wonderful deck and I would recommend it to people, it's just that I personally have other decks that I found myself reaching for more. I make all my own bags, it's a fun little hobby.

I didn't realize earlier editions of Darkness of Light had different, bigger cardstock. 😮 The one I have, Fourth Edition, has a linen finish and is standard size, methinks. It's my Dungeons & Dragons deck. 😁
The most surprising deck I moved along was the Deck for Wonderwalking by Amy Ton. It's gorgeous and I love watercolors, but I couldn't connect with some of the keywords. :3

Everday Witch Tarot - oohhh NO.... but you know what - it seems like, for some reason, people either like this OR the Green Witch but I can't think of anyone I've seen talking about loving them both equally and they DO seem to frequently compete.... have you ever considered repurchasing Darkness of Light in the glorious linen edition? ;) And you already know I'm so sad you're letting the Majestic Earth Tarot go... but.... I also understand.

I was worried Darkness of Light might be on your chopping block after not seeing it on your channel recently, haha. I have the 4th ed. with the black borders and thin, linen cardstock, but my complaint is the lack of age diversity in the women. The art appeals to me so much though, so I think I'll keep making an exception for it (it was also the first non mass market deck I decided I *had* to have). I don't feel tempted by other similarly beautiful decks (Heaven and Earth Tarot, Nordic Tarot, Baroque Tarot) because I have DoL.
I think I'd struggle to read with Majestic Earth and Revival Art. Thanks to your suggestion, I picked up Influence of Angels last month for a classic art deck that is easy to read (and it was so affordable!) and loved it! Amazing little guidebook with that one, especially love the info on the court cards/historical figures. Will you list the other decks leaving your collection in the FB group?
I have the same complaint about the Darkness of Light too, and honestly, I haven't picked up the other similar decks either for that same reason. I am so glad you are enjoying the Influence of Angels, it's one of my favorite decks! Such a great reader. As a newbie, this is why I don't want to buy more Tarot cards. LOL I would be afraid of not using them and/or having to decide which ones to use and then later having to find them new homes. I do love my first deck, The Everyday Witch, which you decided to let go because it feels so accurate with me. I love my only other deck, The Dark Mansion, but plan to save that for October. LOL Enjoyed your video! :)
Oh I think that's a very good thing if you are new to tarot. Too many decks can be overwhelming at first. I only had three decks for over 10 years. I've only recently started collecting more in the last few years or so. I would have been overwhelmed by that many when I was first starting out. I always recommend pick a couple that really resonate with you and learn from those. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
everyday witch is a deck I never reach for either. I forget about it. Also the sideways kings in the Muse tarot is the only reason I refuse to get the deck. I know it will bother the heck out of me. 😂😂

I'm with you with Majestic Earth...it's beautiful, but I just couldn't get into it. The person I sold it to, was desperate to have it, and I was super happy to have the cash. I also sold my indie Light Seer's...people want it so badly, and I was done with it for the most part. Like you say, easy to get the MM version, so why hold onto it?

I'm really surprised you don't want the mythic tarot, I searched for it for ages. And ended up paying a very high price for it. I don't use it a lot but I always enjoy working with it. I totally agree about the archetype Oracle, I just don't have a connection with it...

I recently rehomed the Children of Litha, which I would’ve never expected-but ultimately we didn’t connect as much as I’d hoped, and I just wasn’t using it!

Darkness of Light 😳 Revival Art 😳 Majestic Earth 😳 I understand completely, everyone should do what makes sense to them. I just consider those 3 decks amongst my all time favourites 😂 I am also not you, if we all had the same taste what a boring world!! I too would happily watch a long video of all 75 that are going. X

I'm surprised whenever I rehome any indie decks--only because I'm in Canada and the cost of shipping and currency conversion makes them so expensive that there is a sense of disappointment when I feel the need to let them go! Some memorable decks that I have moved on have included the Dark Mansion Tarot, Darkness of Light Tarot, and Moonchild Tarot. I also have an old edition of the Mythic Tarot that I may sell because I never feel like using it. The Ethereal Visions Luna Edition, which I just purchased 🤦♀️, may be headed to my purgatory box.

Fellow Canadian, I feeeel your struggle. I put so much thought in before buying an indie deck due to the cost. When it's not a good fit, how much I spent really weighs on my mind. No recouping the shipping costs, generally. But still better to move them along if I'm really not going to use them.
I just hope that by rehoming it locally, somebody will get a chance to own a deck that they might not otherwise have gotten their hands on.

Like, I keep wanting more flower/herbal decks even though I’ve got about that many because I find they work so well with my other decks. With more decks, I’ll probably end up with a floral/herbal deck that will look good with all my tarot decks. So, I do actually use them.
Completely get culling so many decks. I’ve had this happen before, and it’s starting to happen again where I feel like I have so many decks and so little time. Though this time instead of culling, I finally got into a new hobby that I’ve been wanting to get into since my teens that’s not cheap which is bjds. So now I have to think, “ Do I really want this indie deck? Or do I want to save that money for my next doll or doll clothes?” Also, I imagine my dolls read, so I want to journal which decks I think they’d use from my collection. I did that with a fictional character I like and had fun doing that. Fun to just pull out a bunch of decks and look through them and think of how they read and feel.
I should have stated... "why does someone like me who doesn't work with herbal energy or medicine regularly have nine decks" lol I do have lots of decks that have repeating themes, but like you, I do actually use those ones. I was shocked, shocked I say, to see the Darkness of Light on there 🤣I can't riffle-shuffle to save my life, as I have tiny hands and struggle to get a solid grip on most tarot-sized decks, so I'm not a good judge of such things, but I have the 1st edition DoL and the card stock seems quite thin to me - the entire deck is 30mm deep (1.25"), which is only slightly thicker than a mass market deck like the Everyday Witch (by comparison, Oak Ash & Thorn is a whopping 40mm). It does have black borders all the way round, which is a shame, but I was impatient to get my hands on a copy!

I just let go of the Bohemian Gothic mini version with silver backing. Such a gem, but it was sitting in a special drawer and I have not used it. It needed a new place and energy.

For the sacred creators and the archetype decks which decks do you like instead that fill that need? Both of those interests me but I haven’t clicked buy yet, so wondering what else is out there that I could consider.
I think both of these days are actually really amazing in their own right and very well suited for their purposes. For me, I find that instead of the Sacred Creators, I like to pull decks that have more visual imagery such as the Creativity Oracle or the Vision of the Muse oracle. For the archetypes deck, I think if you are working specifically with archetypes you'd be hard pressed to find a better fit in a deck. I don't have a direct replacement for that on the whole, I usually just look to the oracle decks that I have that fit the specific archetype I want to work with (so like if I want to work with the mother archetype, I grab my Mother's Wisdom oracle.) I would LOVE to see which decks in your collection work for you in regards to creativity and business readings. I’ve had such a hard time finding decks that work for me within this niche- including the sacred creators Oracle. Most decks marketed for creative or artistic people fall flat.
I'll see if I can get a video together about that! I find the decks that work best for that aren't necessarily marketed for that purpose. Lately I've been using a lot of collage decks (particularly the handmade collage) to be really helpful for that. Something about the energy of it being done by hand I think taps into that creative well beautifully. I'll see if I can get a little list together. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

I have a small collection of decks, so I don't feel the need to cull them just yet. I will probably offer up the Archetypes deck to sell or trade at some point. It gives me deep messages and I want the info in the guidebook. However, it is too large for my hands and I don't have the guts to trim it, especially when I really think I will pass it along at some point. The images mostly don't work for me either. I get more from the archetype names.
I have been hand copying the pages from the guidebook as time and interest allow. Once that is done I will likely be ready to let go of the deck. In the mean time it is still in the rotation of decks I use.

That was very interesting. I have a hard time letting decks go... I totally understand why you let the Muse Tarot and maybe some others go, but the Majestic Earth!!! I find it so great for meditation, and the book is helpful imo. But I'm totally in love with the art of that deck, I loved C.D. Friedrich since I was a child and finding landscape art and tarot, two obsessions of mine, rolled into one boggled my mind! I think it's great that you won't hold on to something just because you have it, just because everybody else loves it or because it's oop.

Yep, I have rehomed all of those. Generally I let my members know first that I'm rehoming decks so they have an opportunity to grab them if they want, and then I also post them on my website shop. :)
I'm a Rescue Medium and a Oracle reader for many years, but recently I've been getting more drawn into the Thot and Tarot. I have a few but would love to get some more to learn from. I am also learning the Lenormand and looking for my first deck. Any suggestions?

I’m not surprise that everyday witch is leaving your collection. I remember your vidéo about it and it did not seems a big waw for you. I have the green witch tarot for a year now, and oddly i cannot read with it. My intuition fails on it (because of the wicca références that I don’t know). That’s why I finally purchased the everyday witch this month. The fun part ? I thought while purchase it second hand « yes, ok, Boho tarot is not a fan of this deck, but I have to try it ». (You’re like my gourou) I’m curious who will win the compétition for me : Greenwich or everyday witch ?

I'm very new to this. I keep hearing of people getting rid of, or re-homing decks, but have no idea how it is done... ebay? give to friends (my friends never use them), do you sell them through your website? i have a couple i wouldn't mind finding homes for, but don't want to take them to goodwill or salvation army.... sorry if this is a dumb question, but, was curious.
Sometimes I give them to other Tarot friends who I know will make better use of them than I have. There are buy-sell-trade groups on Facebook to rehome decks and I think that's probably one of the most popular ways. I've done that a few times too and that's been a pretty good experience. I know some people use ebay and etsy, but I don't know how effective that is. I personally usually just sell mine on my website shop because it's easiest for me to do a sale there. I feel almost the opposite with the green witch tarot and everyday witch tarot. Wanted to love green witch as I loved green witch tarot book and really wanted Anne Moura to create a deck to go with the book. I do love the animal and plant on each card. Don't love the 8 wands in particular, image doesn't fit description for me. So I guess that's a huge surprise for me that I don't love it lol.

No, actually Green witch was first for me. There seemed to be just enough difference between it and general rws that there was a slight learning curve and I never read with it. Love the artwork and addition of plants and animals, but it never just flowed. When I picked up everyday witch I thought it was a bit cutesy but it read quickly and effortlessly. This has prompted me to get Green witch out for a revisit though.

I generally just post them on my website because I have a shop set up there, but I have done some trades on Facebook as well. I had high expectations for the Sacred Creators Oracle. It just doesn't do it for me and to my surprise, Denise Linn's Sacred Traveler Oracle accomplish way better what I thought the Sacred Creators Oracle would do... Just my 2 cents! ^^

I used to think I will love Everyday Witch but once I had it, I rarely use it. Somehow I don't really connect to it. Which is suprised me since I love the cats in the deck. I also can't connect to Muse Tarot. It didn't help me in term of creativity.

I bought the muse tarot as an impulse because I was like oooh shiny and then never looked at it again. The landscape cards are like meh... Really pretty cards but SO not my jam at all

I have several different practices that I incorporate my cards into like my morning planning, moon work, deity work and my own personal growth work. I use different decks for different things so I am able to work with many different decks throughout the year. I like the variety and the unique "voices" that each deck brings. That original Mythic Tarot is sought after in its original state. Collectors pay a few hundred dollars for it. Such a shame its been edged and modified. Oh well. hehe.

I think that's so cool that you have a small collection and I can defiantly see the benefit to that. I only had a couple of decks for many, many years.
