I thought it was cute when Little Dog was eating chips in her doggie carrier on the plane. Then I thought it was cuter when she was swimming. But then I saw her jumping around the waterfall with a tiny little backpack and I died 😭💕🐶

That's not a daddy long leg. lol. True daddy long legs are called Harvestmen, and they're actually insects, not arachnids. It is a myth that they are venomous, but they're mouth is too small to bite. They are actually completely harmless.

That... the birb didn't have a broken wing. It was a fledgling. A juvenile bird, who is ready to fly. We had the same one (a Robin) in my yard. Dude almost drowned in my pool because it couldn't really fly yet. Stuck around our driveway/ neighbors front bushes for a few days before it learned to fly. And yes, the parents are around. They fly down & continue to feed the bird until it fully flies.

My stupid ass thought all dogs just knew how to swim, and last 4th of july, I let my little rat terrier go in our pool and she went right under(I was right next to her) and I freaked out 😭
That's not being stupid at all, because I also thought dogs generally have the instinct to paddle when they perceive themselves as being in water (which is why we like to hold them above it and watch their natural reaction!) But your comment makes me wonder if that instinct may have been lost, in some cases, as a result of generations of controlled breeding and domestication. Did your dog do that instinctive paddling, even if it didn't actually help it stay afloat?

That bird is a fledgling! It's still a baby - please try and put the bird back where you found it otherwise it's parents won't be able to continue feeding it and it may not survive. It's a common mistake people think they are abandoned or hurt but they are just learning to fly.
"A fledgling bird has reached the "fledge" stage of life, meaning the bird has feather and wing muscle development sufficient for flight and is no longer nest bound. The bird may appear to be alone, but typically the birds parents are nearby in trees and will continue to provide care while the youngster builds strength and works out how to fly properly. "
Yea, and if you absolutely need to hold a bird because e. g. it needs veterinarian's attention, or it is in your house and doesn't want to leave (happened to me 😂), it's good to research how to hold a bird safely ☺️
