God damn his English is flawless. I'm Dutch, lots of people speak decent English here, but he's on another level.

+ELchimbo quepasa It's because of two things: 1st, you grow up listening to English rap music a lot so mimicking the nuances used in music becomes second nature, especially If you rap a lot yourself. The fact that they speak with a New York-ish accent proves that it's mimicked because It's not an accent native to them.
2nd, rap is more natural than singing but It's still an exaggeration of the sounds produced when speaking. If rap music is your reference, you tend to rap more convincingly than speak because speaking regularly involves different vocal nuances.
At least that's what I've seen. I know lots of people that rap flawless English but are way less eloquent when speaking. I myself encountered this too. That's also because rapping is mostly rehearsed and speaking involves the element of unpredictability.
But that's just my experience, your miles may vary.

Mr. Probz was the only one in that room who isn't ignorant. While he's focused on passion and being humble, they're talking about money, drugs, vagina, and white women. As if in the end any of that matters. This is why people say we're narrow minded. Stuck on the irrelevant and the negative. Probz not only has passionate music, but a mature soul as well. Respect him even more.
It's 2019 and I'm just now watching this, he has a beautiful soul and humble spirit

ok since your dutch, can u explain how this guy has such a American/ New York accent when he speaks? i have heard dutch people speak english with a dutch accent but this guy sounds straight american
ye23 nothing weird about, there are people in the netherlands who hold an american accent but most of them still got a dutch accent, and english is our 2nd language maybe that helps your question too and ofc he hangs alot in the states since he blew up there and other places around the world.
+ye23 Also because he's half Antillean (Antillean as in the former Netherlands Antilles). Most of us learned English because we listened to American rap a lot (British rap ain't that popular yet). I'm generalizing here, but there's a huge difference between the accent of white Dutch people and "immigrants" (mostly black Antilleans/Surinamese/Cape Verdean) etc etc

He made reference to white women because in NY Z100 is the mainstream (white) radio station and since Mr Probz record is getting play on there, he jokingly asked how many white women he slept with. I literally JUST found the Joe Budden track today. It's crazy to think the guy that made Waves and many other mainstream hits, was active wayyy back then with someone like Budden that was relatively underground at the time. And in top of that making a record with 50 many years later

It's so interesting to put this face to that song lol. I never thought to look up the artist, but i love the track. His story is so fate/destiny driven though - crazy! Happy he's seeing success after his crazy past.... he's mad optimistic tho lol at some point in his life i'd have been like "WTF!?"
