V-cuts on Padrón make my life meaningful.

Another great review. Im a gadget junkie, so I've got a fairly big collection of cutters. For a straight cut, I always use my St. Dupont Maxijet cutter. For V-cuts, it's always my Colibri. They're pricier, for sure, but can be dismantled and sharpened when needed. I've had a Colibri CEO lighter/cutter for over 20 years, and its holding up well. Buy cheap, buy twice.

I didn’t know you can sharpen DuPont blades ?

@terrytibbs3336 First of all, GREAT username. Secondly, I've only got a couple of Dupont cutters; a Maxijet and a single-blade, guillotine-style. Both can be dismantled via flat-head screws. The springs can be a little fiddly but can be put back together with a little patience. I use a simple diamond sharpener on the blades.

@@terrytibbs3336 you can send it back to the pond and they won’t do it for you for free you just pay for the shipping

The St DuPont looks like a nice piece of kit. Bit pricey tho. 😬👍

    1:32 .... NOT a "straight guillotine"
3:15 I use mostly V-cutters , have the Colibri like this .... after about 25 cigars it started getting dull
I bought a few "brand name" punches , and seriously, they dulled out so fast .....
Not a V-cut , but have you ever tried the Cuban Crafters Perfect Cutter ?
Not even sure if they still make the original version anymore ( the only one I have of theirs )
but it is the BEST cutter I have ever used ...... and only like $30 US
it is Stainless and thin with a brass back stop area ( can only put JUST the right amount of the cap inside to cut ! ! ! )

I don't rate the dupont dual V cut.

Why is that? If you don’t mind me asking is there a pacific reason or have you had a bad experience with the Cutter?

@@ratemycigar yes I find the dupont V cut doesn't cut as deep and the quality of the cut is not the same as the colibri. The dupont straight cut on the other hand is great. It's also a shame most of duponts cutters and torch lighters are made in china too.
