I agree. I'm in my 40s now and I have about a shoebox of special makeup (foundation, blush, brushes, etc) and a case about the size of a paperback that holds the makeup I reach for the most often. That's it! It's so freeing!!

Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin will always be near and dear to me because the beauty launch was so iconic due to the range of shades and marketing was A-MA-ZING, and packaging is everything. However, none of the complexion products or skin products do it for my skin. I have dry skin and everything is very drying, and the skincare broke me out after 2 uses so I returned it. BUT THE LIPSTICKS and the primers and the glosses do it for me every time.

I am in the same boat with you with the dry skin (ugh) BUT the lipsticks are pure bangers honestly. I got my mom one for Christmas and she loves it! Thank you for sharing your experience. I would however be open to trying her hydration line (I think that’s what it’s called for foundations where it’s not as mattifying), so maybe there might some improvement with the skin irritation. Yes, I go through my clothes and shoes and declutter every two years. You just made me go look at some of my makeup. I am so glad I did. The separation was real in some of these products.
