Third video I've seen of this band, first time I've seen the bassist use the Mic. Are they mostly instrumental? Digging the sound....reminds me of The Cramps. What's the guitarist messing with when he takes his hand off the fretboard???
That bass looks like an old Silvertone made by Danelectro. Sears sold those. If it is, I haven’t seen one of those since the mid 1960s. Looks too well preserved. Probably a remake of some sort.
Jesus, there's not an ounce of original creativity on that stage. All music has an element of derivation to it but this band has taken derivation to new heights.
Yeah most surf guitar bands are like that . I like the music but can only take it for so long because the songs ( well mostly instrumentals ) tend to blend together after a while. Its great music to play at a party with every one BSing while buzzed and not really paying attention to the music. But has a great beat for toe tapping and dancing.
Ladies and gentlemen, the fabulous Messer chupps
wow great audio thank you
They will be in my area in May. I have tickets and plan on having a great time. Rockabilly plus surf punk, there are few things so much fun.
Where?
I saw them in May. It was amazing.
Smokin' hot Zombierella
She definitely has that pin-up look.
Messer Chups listen to each other for Oleg, but watch each other for Svetlana. Wonderful Zombierella 🌺
man.... i feel like a boy again....thank you messer chups
Zombierella Rocks!
Incredibly amazing talent employing ROCK AND ROLL to help humans enjoy life.
So appropriate they have Rasputin on drums.
hahaha. I met him in Detroit. He's actually Italian.
Such a great song ! Love Messer Chups !
A lot of super nice amps on that stage.
Just so fun! They remind me of me friends SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS.
❤ Messer Chups, thanks for sharing
Zombierella! Love these guys . . . if they're ever somewhere near SF bay area, will definitely check them out.
They are opening for Agent Orange at the Rickshaw Stop in SF in early May. Enjoy :-)
Wonderful!
The bass player's voice reminds me of Lene Lovich, which is a complement.
what a talent.
Самая Красивая🖖❤️🔥🫀🧠👍🍀🆓️☮️🖖🫠

He’s toggling the switch that controls which pickups are active.
@@GertVeltink Hmmm..ok.. the pickup toggle on my electric isn't so close to the horn. I never thought to use it that way.
They seem to be mostly instrumental, the woman on the baritone sings occasionally
@@madarab37 Yes their musical sound goes all the way back to 1963 Sutf Rock but they also show influences from The Cramps and The B-52’s.
Shakin' All Over
Nice Fender amps !!...
From Russia with love
Damn! I thought that was Susie Brown from The JaneDear Girls. 🤔🤣

it's a modern Dan Electro '56 short scale, either made in Korea or China, they have better-louder pickups than the originals.
@@jonathanwobesky9507Louder maybe. They are nowhere near as warm as the real ones.
Не плохо, захотелось пройти Nolf)
Grigori Rasputin on drums?
Can't keep a good man down
Killer....
What type of bass is Zombierella playing?
I can't ever understand what she's saying.
I don’t think that she can either!
Yes but it’s the way that she says it! I never heard anyone sing like that!
That’s part of her charm and charisma. She has invented a new type of singing!
They remind me of the B-52’s.
She speaks Transylvanian!🧛♀️
I think that’s the idea
👾🤖👻
Shades of Romeo Void. …
Zomba always looks like she'd rather being doing something else?
Rasputin on the drums

It's an issue with surf genre in general. All surf sounds like... Surf.
Vocals are quite unique here though.
@ Yeah, I watched a second time and I retract my harsh assessment. I must’ve been in a shitty mood that day. Thanks for pointing it out. 😬
@ Listen to it at 1.25x - it’s so much better!
Rasputín y la moza de voz de gato.
Muah ha ha ha ha haaaaa !
I’m not cutting on the band, but all their stuff sounds the same
They are a great rockabilly band, but you have to love rockabilly to listen to a long playlist. I would watch them live for the fun of it.

I don’t care for her voice 😒
