- Strasbourg, France. I'm so sorry about the chatter. This French guy was trying to give me tips on how to take better photos and literally took hold of my hands! I don't think he realized I was videotaping, or maybe he was just getting a kick out of messing with an unsuspecting tourist.
I just spent half an hour nearly in tears trying to remember this song. I'm so unbelievably overjoyed to find this, my heart is performing Olympic feats of gymnastics. My God, this is so overwhelmingly beautiful.
This took my breath away. I felt like i was in the middle ages watchin this guy play. his voice is magnificent. i never seen a man with such a great vocal ability

This is actually beautiful, I wish there was more of this bard type music.
Very difficult for a man to sing like that. You need extremely strong vocal chords to be able to reach that pitch and maintain stability. It takes a lot of training. It's interesting to note that they often have a quite deep speaking voice. Counter-tenors are unfashionable and even ridiculed nowadays, but they were highly regarded back in history.
for some reason the french guy giving you tips and actively taking part in the video like that added to the appeal of this for me, it made it feel more natural instead of some person poker facing and holding up a camera in front of their face. it's a human feeling--and it's hard to get those over the internet. thank you for posting this.

Oh my.. This must be one of the most otherworldly performances I've ever been blessed to hear. I would honestly find him and pay him to perform again for me privately so that I may have a recording of this emaculate performance of my own without the terrible interruptions of the people in the background. This music is splendor and majesty to my ears.

I live here in Strasbourg, and in 2011 the guy is still going strong - you can't see, but his chair is a piece of art in itself

His name is Luc Arbogast. I live in Strasbourg, and every year he sing near the cathedrale. He's full of talent.
