Talent runs in his family so I'm glad he was cast as Mo Ran. He has shown in interviews how much he loves the character so I'm sure he played it with all his heart and to the best of his capability. What I'm concerned about is the story being quite different from the novel (because of censorship), but he doesn't have a saying in that, so I'm sure he will be the best Mo Ran we can get. Can't wait for HYX! Loved his acting in Ever Night too! 💖

I subconsciously hope that Legend of Awakening fails miserably and Ever Night goes on to become just as acclaimed as Joy of Life, all while the “prodigal son” Arthur Chen regrets his decision to abandon his role and his disappointed fans of Ever Night. But I guess with the director Chen Kaige your father, one can afford to pick and choose with out fear of repercussions.. It must be nice to be a first time “unseasoned” actor with NO prior experience to not fear of the backlash of the film industry. I wonder why?
