This is by far the Best unboxing/review of this figure here on youtube, some great poses and extended look on the figure. I got mine a few weeks ago and I loved it instantly.
i watched a few videos before I got to yours...your video sells this figure! noone else even bothers to pose the figures, your lighting the figure and it really shows off the details. But you know all this! Great video, i bought the thing after watching. Also, if you want to fix the blobby paint on your gun, you could use ebony and silver rub and buff and easily fix it.
Awesome review Dean!! I don't know what it is; your lighting, camera, poses/futzing, or that you've got a head sculpt with superior paint apps, for some reason, your figure looks so much better than what I've seen in other videos. From an aesthetics pov, I would give it an 8-9/10.
Sideshow Collectibles outdid themselves with this one. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first. However, this video eliminated any doubt that I had initially. The head sculpt is amazing. Whether you are looking at it from the front or from the sides, Clint Eastwood's likeness is there 100%. The eyes have a nice sense of realism. I like the facial expression with the wrinkles in the eyebrows. The skin is nicely textured. The facial hair looks good, but it should've been thicker and darker. The outfit looks great and it's nicely tailored and stitched. I really like the poncho. Articulation is solid. The slim body that Sideshow utilized is perfect for a character such as, Blondie. The figure comes included with a good amount of interchangeable hands. The pistol and rifle look great, even though they are made out of plastic. However, it would've been nice if Blondie had come included with some more accessories. I'm not a fan of the boring and bland display stand that Sideshow Collectibles have been utilizing for their figures as of late. At the very least, they could've put some artwork or a placard on the display stand. This is still a phenomenal 1/6th scale figure release on the part of Sideshow Collectibles, despite a few issues. Given Clint Eastwood's film legacy and prominence, Sideshow could've done a little bit more with the figure, but it is what it is. Great photography by the way. Thanks, Dean! I really appreciate the hard work! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe! On a side note, which Sideshow 1/6th scale figure do you think looks better if you had to choose one, Blondie or the Pretty Woman Leatherface? I think that they both look great, but I'm interested in hearing your opinion.
Best review of this figure and has really made me pull the trigger to get him. Sideshow just recently made some of the Clint Eastwood figures available again for preorder.
My most anticipated figure (in any scale) this year! Wow! Sideshow have done Clint justice . Did you see the Sideshow promo video of Clint in the Sideshow offices? He was looking at the figures in person and he looked amazed at how they managed to recreate him in 1/6 scale🤠. Good Bad & The Ugly is an all time classic and the Man With No Name trilogy is one of my favourite film series. I bought the Lim Toys gunslinger to go with him on the shelf, but now I'm just waiting on Sideshow to send my figure. I had him ordered and paid up months ago and the wait is pure torture. Anyway, fantastic review Dean.
What a fantastic review and best look at the figure on TH-cam in my opinion. Great work again Dean!!! Has anyone else received there’s in the UK yet? I’ve been told April/May delivery now , Though I know Dean said his figure was not from Sideshow. I’ve purchased the Redman figures The Bad and Ugly recently to display with this figure and I must say a little chalk dust to weather and dry brushing the boots , sort out those shiny hands and cut back “The Bads” finger tip he lost in that accident they are two strong looking figures. I wasn’t expecting a 9 score so this is looking promising lol.
I wish Kaustic Plastik had released this figure. Maybe something else will come from them? And Once upon a time in the West figures.. Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda... 😎
Amazing figure. Still waiting for mine from sideshow. And there is a debate if the movies are connected or not but if you are the ones who think they are then good the bad and the ugly takes place first in the timeline that’s why he gets the iconic costume at the end. The timeline goes backwards if you follow the “connected” time theory.
Been falling you For Years and your Product and dedication to your love for this is just incredible,Never ever board listen to you do what you love,Another Great review Team Knight Vision
I get the compaint about the neck but it's a figure and people really value the articulation. If you want seamless go for the 1/4 statue. What an absolute stunner.
Some nice ideas for posing it in this video! About the thread, holding the vest together - there's ONE which goes through the both sides of the vest, not two as I was thinking. Mine was also starting to break down, I re-spinned (is this the word?) it carefully back together using different tricks and tools and added small drops of glue to the both ends. So this thread will look like a thread and I can open the knot if I need (to adjust the shirt again etc). I like this statue, only detail I'd change - those small plastic "things" closing the shirt (there are 3) should have been made from the white plastic, not black. I can se the top one from some angles. PS: this statue needs to be photographed from the "looking up to it" position, looks more epic this way. And, I also used tiny "clothespins" on the back to fix poncho when I took my pictures... :)
Nice review Dean Whilst I'm more impressed than I thought I would be tbh. I guess nothing is perfect in life or the hobby and should not pre judged the weapons materials but I guess only natural when you see 3rd party offerings on recent years. This icon of cinema in this classic trilogy won't get a better release. If they do some more if sales are good a Josey Wales would make a great companion piece to this. Take it easy pal saddle up mines a whiskey see ya at the saloon 🤠 🐎
This is so dope, great video/review. I've been watching Justin's Collection for the past couple years but this is the first 1/6 scale figure I've ever ordered and I can't wait to get it. Where'd you pick up that desert backdrop? Mine ain't coming til Aug-Dec, so I have some time to figure out how to display it. Thanks for the high production value/great lighting to show this thing off!
I like both this and the statue, but I pre-ordered the statue instead and the Pale Rider one. Apparently he is meant to be a ghost in that movie. Thought he was one in High Plains drifter too until recently.
the neck joint is an eyesore. they shouldda just made a headsculpt with the neck. there was no reason for doing it that way as this figure is NOT required to make difficult poses.
Last year I bought the sideshow Dirty Harry figure which I've got on my channel, still waiting to order this one,the man with no name, can't wait, great video Dean 👍,in a couple of days I'll have the hot toys repainted boba fett with throne, very looking forward to that one.👍👌
Hey Dean 👋 👋 👋 just a suggestion. I have a kitbash and I noticed the poncho is always hard to put in the position like in the movies...what I did to my kitbash poncho (which is green?) I took the poncho which was pretty stiff and starchy and completely wet it down and put in the position like the movies then I put some dippityy doo basically hair gel and smother it all over the poncho and holy crap it actually worked 😮 . The poncho is in the position I placed it in without pins clips or safety pins. 🤔 it worked for mine. I be curious to know if anyone else will try this and see
Are you going to be getting the Present Toys version of all three from the movie; The Good, the Bad, the Ugly? They look decent, but I haven't seen them in person.

Despite being the third film, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" is a prequel to the other two films. That's why he doesn't have his trademark outfit until the end. He gets most of the outfit from Angel Eyes and the poncho when he shares his cigarillo with the dying soldier at the end.
Did Sergio Leone actually state this, or did it come about via the fans and their own theories, like the James Bond being a codename fantasy? I suppose you could make a case for it being a prequel (poncho) and vice versa - if I remember correctly his hat at the end of TGTBTU features the bullet holes from FAFDM. Also, if TGTBTU is a prequel, it makes you wonder what he did with his $100k? In my own head cannon, I have it as three different stories in three different universes - long before the MCU multiverse - where No Name is the constant and Van Cleef, Volonte and the other actors and their characters are variables.
You are correct, its a prequel no doubt. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly takes place during the Civil War (1861-1865). also in Fistfull of Dollars, and Few Dollars More his snake pistol is a Colt Single Action Army, the first year that revolver was made was 1873. His revolver in TGTBTU was a much older style cap and ball revolver Colt made in 1851, Which was obsolete once the Single Action Army comes out.
I don't know...love the figure, but I'm still kinda partial to the old kitbash version back in the day, I have the old headsculpt along w a kitbash dirty Harry...im thinking of just doing a kitbash...I don't remember him wearing a scarf? Bet he looks awesome next to John marston and John Wayne, rumor has it they didn't get along.
I got the man with no name figure of clint Eastwood and it is very cool and I have the kaustic plastik figure of John Wayne and it is very cool very cool video .👏👍
I got mine about a month ago and I'm very happy with it, I read by some that "the face is off" ..sorry I do not agree, being pretty good at drawing and painting people, I think the likeness is great, the perspective is there, from what I've seen of the Legacy collection,Dirty Harry does have the best likeness, but this is great .Next up is The Preacher..then Pale Rider
Which samurai is that you got on your shelf Dean ? Looks like Akira Kurosawa's 'Yojiimbo' which was then made into 'Fistful of Dollars' - what's it called ? 🍷😏🔥
Unforgiven is one of my favorites too. It I also equally like all of his man with no name movies, outlaw josey whales etc. the good, bad and ugly has a great title but the weakest story out of all of Eastwoods westerns.
It's ok, a bit caricature like. The stranding on the hair could have been a lot finer. Imo this one looks better, more lifelike and with better paint apps.

Is that Ogami from LONE WOLF and CUB ?

Thanks very much! 🤜🤛
Also my favourite one is For A Few Dollars More. Though it was Lee Van Cleef's best role.
Well you are definitely selling me on this guy. Had no plans to grab him, but these are some of my favorite westerns ever made. Good review dean
i watched a few videos before I got to yours...your video sells this figure! noone else even bothers to pose the figures, your lighting the figure and it really shows off the details. Here’s hoping we get a Lee van cleef figure from this film franchise as well. He had such a badass look

Awesome figure, looking forward to the pre-orders for Josey Wales to open as that's my personal favorite Clint.
Great review love the face expression very Clint Eastwood cinema history right there love it !
The Good, the Bad is actually a prequel to Fistful and For A Few Dollars More. He gets his serape from a dying soldier.
Best review of this figure and has really made me pull the trigger to get him. Sideshow just recently made some of the Clint Eastwood figures available again for preorder.
Hard to decide between this blondie one or the josey Wales .. trying to pick !

Awesome review, Dean
I'm still waiting for mine to ship.
I would have preferred Dirty Harry, but I missed out on that one.
Amazing figure. Still waiting for mine from sideshow. Terrific figure. I think sideshows outlaw josie wales and the preacher look amazing too. Just outstanding tailoring on the costumes.
Been falling you For Years and your Product and dedication to your love for this is just incredible,Never ever board listen to you do what you love,Another Great review

Was just thinking that as u said it about the Facial hair. It's been sculpted in but not painted enough.
I get the compaint about the neck but it's a figure and people really value the articulation. If you want seamless go for the 1/4 statue. What an absolute stunner.

That’s the right body type Clint Eastwood was a tall thin guy back in his western days. I think he’s 6ft 4
Great review. I’m waiting on mine. Honestly, I think it looks better than most if not all of the customs I’ve seen.
This is so dope, great video/review. I've been watching Justin's Collection for the past couple years but this is the first 1/6 scale figure I've ever ordered and I can't wait to get it. Grazy how it looks quite a bit better than the premium statue one face i mean. Much better paintwork
Absolutely a Master piece! 👌🏻
I got mine as a preorder. It still in the shipping box. I never opened and looked at it lol.
the neck joint is an eyesore. they shouldda just made a headsculpt with the neck. there was no reason for doing it that way as this figure is NOT required to make difficult poses.
Thanks for the review. I preordered mine. Personally I think the it's a great headsculpt
Looks great but a question, is the cigar removable?
Dean...by any chance could you do a video on how to fold that poncho? I have no idea how to do that fold?
Last year I bought the sideshow Dirty Harry figure which I've got on my channel, still waiting to order this one,the man with no name, can't wait, great video Dean 👍,in a couple of days I'll have the hot toys repainted boba fett with throne, very looking forward to that one.👍👌
The poncho in the movie is only green on the inside because the outside is sun bleached so the green turned a brownish colour
I want to get the Dirty Harry one plus the S & M model 29 6.5 but the real model in NJ might be a problem .... Can mail be a possibility ?
I got him as well and Dirty Harry love ‘em both, I can’t wait for josey whales. Awesome review

Looks like they got the paint right on the face this time, really dropped the Ball with Dirty Harry
Are you going to be getting the Present Toys version of all three from the movie; The Good, the Bad, the Ugly? They look decent, but I haven't seen them in person.
No plans to duder. I'll check out the reviews though.

Can pretty easily cut that green side seam to be way tidier
Where did you buy the revolving base?
I got the man with no name figure of clint Eastwood and it is very cool and I have the kaustic plastik figure of John Wayne and it is very cool very cool video .👏👍
I want the Duke too, just can't seem to find it
Unforgiven is my favorite western as well. I’m holding out hope sideshow makes William Money from the last scene as well.
Are the jeans black or blue? Hard to tell...doing a kitbash.
I guess they were trying to replicate the wear on the pistol from reloading by the palm of the hand.
Arthur looks like he likes eating more than clint.
The Poncho could easily be retailored to have the seam on the brown side.
Which samurai is that you got on your shelf Dean ? Looks like Akira Kurosawa's 'Yojiimbo' which was then made into 'Fistful of Dollars' - what's it called ? 🍷😏🔥
Yes,the Duke is sold out ,hard to find and if you do, you're going to have to pay .
Cost figure down? This thing like 2 3 400 dollars... it should have metal spurs, your right ✅️ 😊
where can i get
Sideshow collectibles.
Unforgiven is one of my favorites too. It I also equally like all of his man with no name movies, outlaw josey whales etc. the good, bad and ugly has a great title but the weakest story out of all of Eastwoods westerns.
I think it looks more like David Johansson aka Buster Poindexter.
Not even close to it. It looks like Eastwood.
Close up facial not spot on but from a distance more realistic 🤷♂️
I heard rumors Wayne didn't care for eastwood version of the west.
Wayne only wanted westerns to trivial and cartoon-like, he didn’t enjoy the gritty, violent and blurred lines in these films
I think their Dirty Harry figure probably has the best likeness to Eastwood of the whole legacy collection. Glad I picked one up
Except the face is dark grey,
It's ok, a bit caricature like. The stranding on the hair could have been a lot finer. Imo this one looks better, more lifelike and with better paint apps.
Based on the images / videos i have seen, the likeness looks ok, but not as good as Sideshow's 1/6th scale Dirty Harry figure. ..the hands look good, as to his boots.
Boba fett?!? Lmao 😂
Funny part he actually looks like he fits in that world.
600+ 🫡
Head sculpt horrible
Is it just me or is the face just look off?
I feel the same. I have a kitbash and feel the sculpt is a bit better. I do like the idea these are officially endorse by eastwood but I'm still partial to that old kitbash version.
The body and clothing look great. The likeness looks off. I have the head that was on one sixth kit for a while. It looks much closer in my opinion.
Close up it looks like Clint had had a few late nights 🤷♂️
If you're brave, you could get a set of acrylic paints and make his crows' feet more prominent. Just a lite stain would do it. I'm sure there are videos on TH-cam to show how to do it. Being an artist myself I can tell you it would be fairly easy. The sculpt would basically do all the work. Nice review. Nice collection. I caught a peek at a Samurai in there. Redman toys si better un face

I hope you do another video showing how you did the poncho look. Not sure how to achieve that 🤔 look.
