I see Scott has switched to the long putter again. It looks like it's working for him but what truly matters is consistency. His ball striking is always superb, arguably one of the best ball strikers in golf history.
LRN_News I’m still unhappy with the “broom handle” putter! Should have been outlawed! & I speak as one who used to have one, to me it’s impossible to use without some sort of anchoring.
@@blackvegetable563 I agree the putter length should have been limited, like your driver. Then there is no question whether the putter is anchored to your body or not. You cannot tell me the top of your hand does not touch your chest every time you put with the long putter. Old habits are hard to break....
As a fan it's great to see Adam shoot such a low score. I've been away from the sport a little while but I might just start following it a little more, it's been quite the year...
@@Peter-ff1tp Maybe we can just dig a trench to the hole and we would be "good at that". It's a gimmick and a crutch and you know it. Everyone else is playing with a 30" putter. If you want to use it, go play the senior tour where you belong.
How does he make over 100ft of putts in the first few holes and then miss so many inside 5ft... if he could putt he would easily be a Top 5 player in the world.
@Terry Hunt his forearm isn't allowed to touch is body either as part of the rule, he is holding the whole arm out locking his bicep for stability instead
How is it cheating, is a 460 c driver cheating, are slot speed irons cheating, what about modern balls? Why are you people obsessed with the putter? If the club and method is defined as legal by the R&A and the USGA, it’s not cheating. For gods sake stop making that comment. It’s dumb arse and wrong

Steve Winter it is seen as beneficial more than harmful these days. Ball still goes in and it can stop a quick putt.
New rules allow players to leave the stick in. Personally it throws me off for short putts
2019 Rules of Golf now permit leaving the flagstick in. Personally, I find it very helpful as a visual aid.

@@JimSmith-ip3co a lot of long putters have been banned because of a rule put in place in 2016. He is using a sort of loop hole
