- Kelly Clarkson meets 11-year-old piano prodigy Jude, who taught himself how to play the piano by ear in just one year. His dad Isaiah shares how Jude found his calling in music after enduring a "tough road" with health complications since he was a baby. Kelly surprises Jude with some bonus holiday gifts, including a mentorship with her Music Director Jason Halbert, and an invitation to come back on the show to perform.

I have the great pleasure to teach Jude this year. I can speak with absolute certainty, NOBODY has a purer heart then this young man. He's a wonderful human and we can't wait to watch him change the world. No one, I repeat, no one is more deserving of this praise and notoriety.

I wish they would’ve talked about the first guy to recognize his talent and purchased the family their first baby grand piano, he was the first person to bring attention to this kid. This kid is a prodigy, gods gift.

Bill was not “the first to recognize his talent” 😂, his father who shot the video was……. Bill saw the video like we all did and out of appreciation for the art bought him a piano…… but the kid had a story before bill…… the man who “first recognized his talent” is sitting right there on the couch.

This might have become one of my favorites story. This kid is a genius. And i love Jason is gonna tutor him. I'm not crying you are.
The mentorship for me too....🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳! In many clips of giving I don't recall seeing much by way of continued education. Even if it was just that it would've been so much. Very sweet and clearly appreciated. I am in love with Jude's personality and talent. The world is his to step into and make his name.
There also was a local community member from their news station highlighted as gifting Jude and his family a piano.
It is truly touching to me that people offer the gift of music. Definitely worth the money and effort for what will come of that investment.
Jude is gonna show us how it's done and I'm ready to hear it.

Isaiah (Father) delivers parts for a local Ford Dealership in my area he came into our shop yesterda, I asked how the new year was? He said he didn't have his phone but wanted to show me pics/vids and that his boy was on the Kelly Clarkson show. I Googled it and found this. Isaiah is a great guy, I am so happy for him and his prodigy son.

As a longtime music teacher, you live for students like Jude. Some people are touched by God with an ear and feel for music that can’t be taught, and these students are the most wonderful young people to mentor. His enthusiasm is infectious- all the best to Jude and his family!

I’m so happy for this gift to his dad as he was the one pursuing music and had to not due to duty, but his son is now gifted and on National / international TV/internet. He was dreaming for himself and it’s coming through for his son. What joy his Dad must have that his son is healthy enough to do this & is thriving at this.
God wasn’t done with that music blessing. Looks like He still isn’t.

Just watched the segment on him on Denver7 and was pretty much blown away in a couple ways. This kid is the embodiment of WHY I love little kids. He is both well-mannered and unfiltered at the same time. His line "I like to look spiffy" just about killed me.
I wish he could meet up with Stevie Wonder and they could spend a day together...

Jude is a very special soul that came to bless his family and the world with his amazing talent. He is truly a gift!
I love how his father, who sacrificed his musical career in order to work two jobs to provide for his family once in the United States, heard his son and immediately recognized how special he is, and has been his greatest supporter.

The fact that your Musical Director, Jason has offered to tutor him is such a beautiful, selfless gesture, and of course the presents were amazing, I am sure Jude and his family are thrilled and very grateful!
I know that in television, segments on a show are time restricted, and it would have been too long to tell more of his and his family's story. However, in my opinion, Mr. Bill Magnusson, a piano tuner, deserved to be mentioned. He first heard Jude's story in a local news report. He was so touched by Jude's incredible talent that he used part of an inheritance he received, to buy Jude a Grand Piano ($15,000.00) as well as music lessons, and free piano tunning.
Jude is definitely a gift, and thank you so much for helping promote and making the world aware of him...

This is what’s beautiful about TH-cam. You can practically learn anything now with a virtual tutor. I know a lot of the older generation looks down on TH-cam (and sometimes I do myself when you see garbage posted) but it’s a tool just like our cell phone. It’s what you do with it.
