6 years ago I couldn't find it from Mercedes. I was going to contact a supercharger rebuild company, and then just found a NOS supercharger on ebay that I installed.
Yes. I replaced the supercharger. There are at least two styles of noses and nose-cone bearings on these units. The one I had had a bearing where the race was milled into the shaft. Had it been one of the types with a replaceable bearing/race I could have rebuilt just the nose of the supercharger. You should be able to remove the nose itself while the supercharger is still in the vehicle. I did it on the bench however. I have another video showing the play in the nose-cone bearing.
@@A-Lab I saw that one too, had to remove mine to fix that 12$ hose mess. No I got a clicking noise that I dont know if its the supercharger or the timing chain
@@nerdylicious1814 Depends, could be a lifter, vacuum leak, or a loose nut! It's not a hard engine to work on TBH. Tool wise a metric socket set from 8mm to 17 or 23mm, a 6 star shape socket set from harbor freight, swivel end extensions and a wrench with an adjustable head, if it has an extendable handle that would be best.
How many miles in your car?
It had 162k miles when this video was taken.
Any info on the supercharger nose? if it can be purchased on its own?

Did you manage to get this fixed?
