That and the scene where MechaGodzilla just relentlessly unloads a barrage of lasers and missiles on Godzilla is one of the most badass scenes of the entire showa era.

You guys should do a sort of 'in universe' documentary about Monarch. Like....in the same way the History Channel or something might do a special on conspiracy theorists or the Free Masons or something. Sort of a faux documentary style 'in universe' video essay/examination of the secret history of monsters and all of the many cover ups and etc the Monarch corporation has been behind over the years. It would be very cool as a build up to King of the Monsters. Sort of have the narrator take the perspective of a journalist/conspiracy theorist within the MonsterVerse. Post G14....everyone knows Godzilla and the Mutos are real, and saw them.....but the world doesn't know about all of the ways the existence of monsters has been covered up for decades. 'A Timeline of Monarchs lies and cover ups' kind of thing would be SO FREAKING COOL and you folks might be exactly the type of people to do it. There is a ton of viral marketing to pull from.
You have to have an incredible amount of confidence to have your main villains theme be swing jazz, and it absolutely works because they're so confident in it.
Of all the Mechagodzillas, I think the Showa's the most dangerous. Bristling with deadly missiles and lasers and capable of flight without requiring additional flight packs or assistance, but also easily the most capable hand to hand fighter of them all. Whereas the other Mecha-Gs had human pilots and were altruistic in purpose and function, the Showa Mechagodzilla is evil to the core and merciless.
Poor Godzilla. He's always attacked rather than understood. He's not even the bad guy. He's just trying to live. Also i feel so bad for Aguarius. It makes me sad when i see his jaw get broken.
I just watched the weirdest Coca-Cola ad. It was about Gorosaurus telling the Majora's Mask moon to not collide with the Earth. The Majora's Mask moon opened a parachute and then the ad ended.

You forget just how OP this Mecha G is with its huge amount of weapons. The second Mecha G is essentially a mobile suit lacking expression. Kiryu is quite frankly the sentimental favorite because of its interesting concept and story arc. And the Legendary Mecha G is an intriguing yet at times polarizing departure from the standard norm with little screen time to properly digest.

In Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla, the chunk of Space Titanium found after the Anguiras fight is rainbow colored, a holdover from when they thought the suit would be rainbow colored. I always attributed it to the chunk being what Space Titanium looked like before being smelted and shaped to make the robot's armor.

Mechagodzilla is a great foe for Godzilla because he is designed in Godzilla's image, Mechnikong was a cool robotic double of King Kong, but it was reduced to scrap metal at the end of King Kong Escapes and for Mechagodzilla he shattered into pieces at the end of Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1974.

Well they did something similar to Kiryu but instead of Dagon, they used Ghidorah’s skull (specifically the left head).
Fun fact, he's rays have some colors replaced or outright removed in Terror of Mechagodzilla.
Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla is hands down one of my favorites. Great soundtrack too.
