Biggest thing I’ve noticed in Tates fights apart from his skill is that his level of calm and composure during fighting is excellent.
Yah great patience. No rushing, steady pace, tempos it up in moments of opportunity but controlled enough to back it off at the right time.

This is the most proactive I've seen Andrew perform in the ring. His usual style is reactionary, parrying and counterstriking after dodging his opponent. So the cobra can strike in more ways than one!

Didn't know of Tate before he blew up for other reasons and I'm not a kickboxing fan (did used to watch boxing matches with my pops, tho).
I can see why he was a world champion, never fazed, never erratic. It's so easy to lose your head in a fight and he never does, very deliberate, disciplined, always at his own pace. And with that power, I'd hate to make a mistake against him
