THE WP/BN INSIDE GATEWAY EXPLAINED

Here is a long chapter with the real history of the Inside Gateway of the BN "High Line". An operation that was put together by the Great Northern and the Western Pacific in the Depression era to increase traffic flow by forwarding traffic from the Northwest to the Santa Fe Railroad whereby they could all compete better with the Southern Pacific Railroad.
